They'll listen, but that doesn't mean they'll change their minds. If they stay this course, they will lose my business. ........................................................................................................GOOD POINT HUX......WHEN THESE PROPOSALS ARE PASSED THAT MEANS THE " BALL" IS BACK IN OUR HANDS, AS sportsman if we are not happy we do not have to pull the trigger, a couple years of that ,they (nrc) will be beggin us and maybe listen to the average sportsman on deer hunting, just remember ,we do get the BALL LAST................turkey scout This is exactly what I have been saying as well . Just do not shoot more than you normaly would or cut back like and many others intend to do . And nothing will sting them who set themselves above all the rest of us than to tak a Button Buck instead of a Doe that will leave a mark as well. It is our shot last and if we want to win we must do what we would normaly not do in season . Less tag sales would also hurt so do not buy extra tags that will stick it to the state as bad as anything else.

I think the big buck boys are going to get a dose of Kharma with this. The unintended consequences of this "hurry up and shoot something" theory is that it wont be limited to does. First brown thing with antlers coming by is going to die. So will button bucks. Button buck recruitment will be in a nose dive. The yearling bucks will be dropping like flies as they will be the only ones up and about looking for does. A lot of the does and breeding bucks will be holed up. We know that but the IDNR doesn't seem to.
The DNR had better back off this 5 year trial business and play this by ear as they go if they adopt this silliness.

Do not forget to sign the petition to stop this package in it tracks . Yes there are a feww good proposed rules but they are not worth the losses that thay are throwing on us . Once this is stoped we can then soliciate for the good in it to be put back up as new rules . Do not lay down on it now stand your ground. www.petitiononline.com/2011Regs/petition.html

At this point Woody they have accepted the whole package and that means that the whole package must be scraped and redone to exclude the negatives and then redone with the positive no opinion or lack of petition for this is an active acceptance to the IDNR they have proven this with the OBR.

I think that you're likely right, deerman1. Like Woody, there are some of the proposed changes that I wouldn't be against, but if it's all or nothing for this round, then my preference is "nothing".

Not true. I was told by a very high ranking DNR official that "this is a fluid process".. Changes can be made although a couple"stakeholders" said "all or nothing". The "stakeholders" are wrong. They might not support it if it changes, but it can and very possibly could change. Lots going on right now and will continue for the next 4 or 5 months.. No concrete casting yet.

Ah hah, the majority stakeholders have been trying to bluff the minor stakeholders into keeping quiet, as to present an atmosphere of acceptance to the DNR. Very good ploy if I do say so myself.
