"By reading this web site and talking to you.... by chance is this a high fence or a cage hunt ... i want a true fair chase hunt."
The terms you used to this guy are know anti hunting terms to divide and conquer our sport....he may have thought you were an animal rights activist.....

Tell me, since you feel it your duty to dictate the wrong and rite way for someone to enjoy the outdoors. Does this sort of thing make you equally as sick.
Pheasant Hunts
Are you looking for a fun afternoon for your office, church group or just yourself and a friend? Then join us for one of our upcoming contenential pheasant shoots. These shoots are designed to allow plenty of shooting with challenging overhead shots. If you have not tried it then you are missing out on some of the fastest, most exciting shooting action around.
The day starts off with a warm up round of skeet to get everyone ready for the hunt. Pheasants are released for a center location with hunters stationed 40 yards out around the perimeter and 70 yards distance between stands[/font]. This allows time for the pheasant to gain enough altitude and speed. After 5 birds have been released all hunters rotate stands. 10 birds per person will be released with a maximum of 20 stands. We will have retriever on hand to collect the birds but you may bring your dog as well. At the end of the hunt the birds are divided equally among the hunters. Bird cleaning is available for a nominal fee. Lunch is provided either before or after the hunt depending on the time of the shoot.
Put whatever spin you want on it it's the same thing.

If it's behind a high fence, it's not hunting, it's shooting!

Same as Put and Take Phesant hunts.
I wonder how many on this forum have been to a "pic and shoot" "put and take" Phesant Preserve? For a afternoon of hunting Farm Raised birds?

Same as Put and Take Phesant hunts. "Phesants" can fly, penned deer can't.

Same as Put and Take Phesant hunts. "Phesants" can fly, penned deer can't. I've been to these "put and take" phesant hunts and i'll tell you first hand, 99% of the birds have to be physicaly kicked or thrown into the air for a flush. If you can't hit one of those birds you don't need to be behind a shotgun. So, if ya want to do away with deer hunting facilities ya better be in favor of doing away with phesant, quail, and chukar hunting facilities.

No problem I don't go to or endorse either. I went to one such hunt at Glendale. The birds would not fly very much. I killed a rooster that someone else about 200 yards away flushed and it flew by me. I shot it passing by. The hen I killed never did run. I tried to get it to flush three different times. I finally just shot it running like a rabbit. I was making meat and that is about all I can say about it. I never went back for seconds. I'm sure some put and takes might be better than that though...

Here's my thought on the Pheasants and Deer. If it released for you to shoot. ITS NOT HUNTING. Now if ur walking through a field and u kick a few birds up. that would be hunting. If deer are pinned up 40yrd from your stand and they open a gate to turn him lose under you ITS NOT HUNTING. If you set in a stand/blind and work a deer in or it walks in that's hunting.

Do you think them boys in Texas are not hunters because all those 10,000 acre "High Fence" properties are "canned hunts"?

My advice dont go to an outfitter. Do some leg work and find some property. Its crazy to pay that much money to hunt.

I've been to some to, and you must have gotten the ones that were drugged like you do in the deer pens. Deer pens and P and T bird shoots have absolutely nothing in common.

Your exactly right - the deer have a better chance of survival...than a pen raised pheasant or chucker..

TICKMAN---- I DON'T CARE IF IT 10,000 ACRES OF HIGH FENCE OR 50 ITS STILL HIGH FENCE. I DONT AND WONT BE COUGH DEAD ON A FARM. A FENCE SHOULD BE USED TO DIVIDE PROPERTY LINES. A FENCE SHOULD NOT BE USE AS A HOLDING CELL. A FENCE SHOULD BE HIGH ENOUGH TO BE SEEN AND LOW ENOUGH TO LET WILDLIFE MOVE FROM PLACE TO PLACE.LOOK IF ALL THESE HIGH FENCE PLACES HAVE SUCH A GREAT HEARD AND THEY(THE DEER) WANT TO BE THERE TAKE THE FENCE DOWN AND ALL THE DEER SHOULD SAY THERE. THERE IS NO NEED FOR A FENCE.
A REAL HUNTER CAN HUNT HIS GAME... A LOSER HAS TO HAVE HIS GAME BROUGHT TO HIM
