Where is the hunter orange? I see a gun, I see the blind. Isn't it stated in the hunting regs something about hunter orange? If you are going to get your picture taken and published it would be a good idea to follow the simple rules too.

Hmmm.....looks like an advertisement for Whitetail Bluff....
Refresh my memory...... the so called "10 year agreement" was never finalized and signed by either side was it?
Did not the deer farmer side balk at it and then the IDNR retracted it and said - "Let's go to court"?

So if there is no "discernable difference" between hunting a state owned refuge and a high fenced area, why spend the money on a fence?

Critics say the hunts are unethical; and I agree with them. I hope the State of Indiana closes down the Rodney's "Slaughterhouse" which he dares calls "Hunting"!

200 deer on a 1000 acres might be a little more sporting but 200 deer on 100 acres....gimmee a break. Unless he is feeding them that many deer would pretty well annihilate the understory of that small of an area in a couple of years. But of course he's not feeding them to keep them wild

If there were no demand for this type of service then there wouldn't be any of this type of service. The fact is there are plenty of folks who are willing to part with their cash for an opportunity to shoot a tame deer.
The problem as I see it ain't so much the perserve opperators as it is their customers. Yet, as in the Russ Bellar case, when the "customer" breaks the law they don't get prosecuted.....not even a citation! They went to court and testified that they broke the law, under oath and not one charge was filed.
If there wern't any customers there wouldn't be any pic n shoots!

WELL.......... I would throw my .02 into the ring here but I am sure it has been heard here before.......... So I'll leave it at that...... When the sporting community as a whole takes a stand then we will be done with such scum....
HUNT ON.... FAIR CHASE!

Jack, Why are you trying to get me to go on a RANT on this subject? I just wish someone ( NEW) would also take the ball and run with it for a few yards..... It makes the team stronger!

For the sake of the future of ethical hunting as it should be (fair chase) I can only hope that the preserves are shut down.

I dont agree with that kind of hunting at all, but I can also see why he wants to keep the fence up. Who knows how much time and money he has in his whatever you want to call it(hunting ranch). How many of us has spent time and money scouting, putting out foodplots setting up cammeras, and to have somebody come hunt next to you that comes out at daylight making all sort of noise not carring at all and shoot the deer that you worked for.

You always go with senior leadership, Keith. Run with it!!!! Jack Nope Jack I never have but I have been there to help anyway I can.. I just wish EVERY REAL hunter would do the same. IF they did then this thread wouldn't exist today. You see most of the hunting community likes to talk and spout off a lot of opinions but very very very few put their words into action...... SAD very very sad!!!!...... THUS the reason we have this mess today... IF YOU CAN'T HUNT FAIR CHASE THEN YOU CAN'T AND SHOULDN'T HUNT PERIOD!. of course I could be wrong but I'm not!.....lol I hope business is booming Rodney...... We're not done with you yet so set some aside for a rainy day!
