They hunted with Lee Lightsey, Outwest Farms. Other than that, I don't know much else.

If it ever warms up, I'd like to get out 2-3 more times before the end of January. My ole bones don't do real good anymore, in the cold.

My son was in FL. for Christmas with his girl friend and her parents. The day after, my son and his girl friend's Dad went on a 1 day guided hunt, near Lake Okeechobee. They weren't hunting monster gators, but went for the experience. They did right well! ;D ![](http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii198/maddog1951/P1010395.jpg) my son with his gator. Taken with his handi rifle 44. mag., and leverevolution ammo. ![](http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii198/maddog1951/DSCI0115.jpg) his girl friend's Dad with a very nice gator. ![](http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii198/maddog1951/P1010400.jpg) hope you enjoy the pics. maddog

I'm not. My county is at 8 antlerless[which I personally think is too high]. I've not talked to anybody that intends to hunt that season, and I greatly think it will depend on the weather.

single shooter and dadfsr, my work schedule is flexible enough that I can go during the week. Maybe we could plan something after Christmas. Things are kinda hectic for me until about Dec. 27th. Maybe we ought to do this through pms, or start another thread rather than load it up on this one. Single shooter, maybe you and I can meet at the USA resturant 8-8:30, in Reynolds, one morning to get something planned. I intend to hunt through January, weather permitting. I have back/leg issues like you and that's why I'm squirrel hunting a bunch. Most likely we should do the hunt between 10 am and 2 pm.

I haven't said much on any forum, including this one about this year's deer season. I agree strongly with the OP, as far as disease, drought, and the shooting of too many deer, in SOME areas. I talked to processors, deer check in people, hunters and farmers. In my area the overall sightings and kill, is definately down. Yes, I shot two deer, but overall sightings, during legal hunting hours is definately off. For those of you who are wondering, I live in White Co. I've been hunting deer here, since 1979. Our county has some leasing, but as of yet, isn't like other couties throughout the state. We are at 8 bonus deer. I personally think it's too high, and should be more like four. I'm really not in favor of the late antlerless season, here at home. It will be interesting to see how many hunters go out, here at home, for that season. This hasn't been my worst season, personally, but it has been, for a lot of hunters, in my area.

The beer is made by Upland Brewing Co., Bloomington, IN. It is a seasonal beer made in the spring, according to their website. My son found the bottle in Indy, but I don't know where. I wanted my son to find me a 6 pack, because I was going to give the individual bottles away as gifts. However, he couldn't find any, this time of year.

Put two nice does in the freezer, last weekend. Now I'm ready to go back to the squirrel hunting. Gonna give it a week or so for the deer hunters to thin out, then it's back to the limb chickens.

For all you boys that are out whackin the "limb chickens", here is one of the best recipes I have ever found for squirrels, particularly a great way to use up the older ones. www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/wild-chef/2012/02/new-england-style-cream-based-squirrel-chowderThe only thing I did different was to add 1-2 cans of whole kernel corn, and subst. the half and half for a can of condensed milk. WARNING! You'll eat til ya make yer self sick! ;D Also, you can cut the recipe in 1/2, cause the original makes a LOT of chowder! maddog

single shooter, real close. It's a H&R Sportster, .22 LR. The scope is a Nikon, but it's a 2x7 shotgun scope that I had laying around, not being used. I love that little gun/scope. when I do my part, it gets the job done. I'm having more fun chasing "limb chickens" this fall, tha I have for 2 decades.

Hey Woody, score 1 more for team 7. My son hunted with me, and he got 4. He's a better shot than I am, anymore! Awesome day in the woods. Told my son about this site and the squirrel contest. He said he'd join up, and hunt with me next year on a team! ![](http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii198/maddog1951/squirrelhunting006.jpg) maddog
