Last year if you remember I trapped 6 coyotes of the farm, 1 amle and 5 females. Well it must have made a big dent in the population. I set traps out on the middle of November and had absolutlly no activity for 2 weeks. Then a family must have moved in because in the next week I caught 3 females.
I have kept the traps out until now with no further catches here. I have a friend who bought a new house on five acres. He shot three coyotes just while deer hunting the property and wanted me to set coyote traps there. Well to make a long story short, in the last 2 months I caught 12 more coyotes on that little five acres out of 4 traps. this to me is totally unbeleiveable.
Last year was my best year ever with 6 coyotes. This year at 15, just blows my mind!! 4 males and 11 females, should save a couple fawns . I also ended up catching 11 coon and 2 possums. I also found out the a MB 650 trap will not hold a deer!
