I could take it or leave it. I don't hunt till end of oct and probably wouldn't change. And you'll be hunting one less deer this season. Lol! A couple of weeks ago, I hit a huge doe on the highway just west of your road on my way to work. 55 MPH, dead center of the bumper. I drove right over it and it came out the back after some serious bucking by the Jeep. Lol! Absolutely no damage except for a broken turn signal lens. The steel bumper and bull bar did their jobs. Leave my deer alone! That is impressive on lack of damage. There seem to be more deer around last few years than normal but maybe just my travel patterns have been different. I saw a small buck dead in the field just west of my road a couple days ago. Hunting season is 365 days around roads.

I think it was interesting there's a chance he runs in 2024... I feel like if he did he would get blown out. Also, he was touting bipartisanship when 6-7 months ago he was bashing the legislative republicans for being unable to cooperate. It's amazing how convenient that was for him. It will always be a closer race than expected, regardless of the candidates.

... There is no double standard. Lol! In an ideal world maybe. Did you have siblings? It is kind of like my little brother... we fought like cats and dogs. But if anyone else wanted to fight my little brother they had to fight me too. It doesn't have to make sense...or be fair. Just the way it was. It is more emotional than logical and that will never change.

She's a player and that's for sure. I was at the NIT championship game as well. I was on the edge of the couch last night afraid Clark would hit multiple 3s in a row. I am heading to Bedford this evening to check out the Brownstown/Bedford game. You and me both. She has the ability to change a game fast! I have not been following the bedford teams much, the girls are pretty good again this year. Boys are average.

I've been doing a lot of work this winter on the southern half of the property. Combination of hack/squirt, hinge cutting and felling a few trees here and there. Cutting travel corridors past current and future stand sites. You got my stand set up yet?

Another amazing atmoshere! I don't know if it was the real cause but the TV announcers said it was the crowd noise that was causing clock issues. Very impressive win considering Parrish and Yardin (starters) combined for 15 points? and sat a large part of the game due to foul trouble. Won't get any easier as 3 of the next 4 games are against ranked teams with the final regular season game against the Hawkeyes. I guess the Purdue game is going to be $1 ticket day (next Sunday) The Clark gal is a player but dang it....she whines alot! Great season so far for both the guys and gals! Awfully fun to watch. That lady is a competitor to the core and hates losing, giving her tendency to be a very poor sport too. She can shoot and I love seeing her lose! I went to the NIT championship game a few yrs ago at Assembly Hall. The crowds were huge and impressive. I kind of like to 3,000 to 8,000 range for seating options and comfort. When the attendance creeps up to 10k+ it gets crowded and loud. Great for the school and athletes....but think I will stay home. I am sure a Sunday game with $1 tix will be bumping. Fun times for a great team.

Good deal. What caught my eye was how many times Liu He caught a record fish. Looks like 15 times? What's up with that? Hard to believe somebody is that lucky or good! Just saying... Like the lotto...gotta play to win. I caught 3 sauger bigger than his 18.5" but like deer head scoring I have no desire to advertise. But if you measure every fish and send in the application I don't think it would be that hard.

Well behind every other tree every on every 10-30 acres is 3 hunters. My local county has umpteen property lines on 500 acre section. So if there is on average say 40 property lines a deer will cross in that amount of time the buck population is so far out of whack it's unreal. Does that make any sense that you have 100 hunters in 500 acres where a yearling buck has no chance. A lot of the guys down south are hunting 500 acres with 4 of them. Down south or away from St Joe county is just not the same thing. I have hunted St Joe and Laporte co. Quite a bit. Your exaggerating to try to prove your point.

No not scolding you at all. I don't care what you hunt/kill. I am just pointing out that you are wanting to impact many others hunting opportunity. While you are hunting and killing more than most. If you don't understand the irony....

And you killed how many this year? How many days or months did you hunt?? Seems your actions are getting in the way of your goals. Then you want guys who hunt 3 weekends a year to restict their time so that you can maybe see older deer...and still kill 6 or 7 deer a year on a 5 acre patch. Lol! Your coRnfusing the reduction hunts with state hunts. I killed 0 deer out in the wild. I killed 8 city deer. 3 bucks and 5 does. And it was no where near 5 acres. It was about 1/2 acre. Perception is everything. The guy hunting longer than most and killing more than most feels the regular deer hunters are killing too many deer so he wants the most to restrict their hunting so he can get even more. Yeah I think I understand. You can try to mush your agenda into a herd health or buck to doe ratio agenda but I understand what you really want. You want more at the cost of others. The state does not care what deer you kill or let walk in the urban zone? You pull the trigger 100% of the time. You decide what you shoot. If you feel obligated to take every deer that is between you and the property owner. There are plenty of urban zone hunters that are there for the big deer. Bloomington inside the urban zone has some brutes. I am sure South Bend does too.

Bum deal for sure. I am sure at 0330 there are no routine stops. I see the mug shots on Facebook local news stories and lots of drug related crime. Just a few days ago a guy from Mitchell was shown with 2 swollen eyes and clearly been in a scuffle. In fact he had been taken 2 times with no impact. Took multiple officers to control the guy. The eye witness said the suspect didn't give up until there were 2 roadblocks up pretty much ensuring no escape. Multiple warrants for drugs, burglary and failure to appear. Dirtbag needs locked up for a while now.
Tell your son to stay vigilant in his safety.

That's my entire goal right there. Seeing an older age class. Most naysers will put their own spin on that and try to translate that to record book deer. And you killed how many this year? Only thing that is constant is change. I don't see dnr restricting gun season though.

It has been a rule for 20 years. Just like seatbelts...there were more opposed to it when the rule changed but with time it becomes the norm and people move on. What does it prove? That after 20 years of hunting under a specific rule, opinions have changed in some hunters and not in others? OK, you nailed it then You just proved my point for me. Thank you. This is the same conversation we will be having 20 years after the gun season gets shortened. And it will be a carbon copy of what's said today... Lol...ok
