You just dont get it do you. Hell with it, just give away all your other rights too......you don't need 'em....
A right, unused, is a right lost......
If thats not enough, we can start up the 'what ifs' again. Thats the whole reason to carry a personal protection sidearm......meth heads or pot growers who feel a little 'friskey' and decide to get violent the nice hunter who only has a bow and arrow. The list can go on and on.........
You can't see the forrest for the trees there pard.

I don't think anyone here is "whizing" on anybody,it's just that some DO NOT see the reasoning for taking a handgun bow hunting..period!! Here`s the bottom line-for whatever reason, you very obviously feel threatened by the fact that "effective immediately" I will be packing while bow hunting-dunno why........ It DOES NOT matter that YOU don`t see the need-the FACT is, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, we all can, and will be. Like Woody said, it`s a very personal choice, and my choice doesn`t have to be yours.

Nobody is forcing anyone to carry.
I've never had the need for one while bowhunting, but there is always a first time.
It is a very PERSONAL choice.
I may or may not, but I certainly like having the possiblity if I so chose to carry.

I wonder how they will handle the duck/goose hunter since most handguns aren't shooting non toxic bullets? It just means you can carry them, it doesn't mean that you can hunt with them. Now why in the world would anyone want to goose hunt with a handgun that's just silly? My point was if I'm goose hunting (with my shotgun) and I am also carrying my pistol would they give me a ticket for the lead bullets in the pistol? I know the laws says you can only hunt with approved non toxic shot but I would not be "hunting" with it, Obviously. Seems to me that there are two views here, one side looks at it as "our Second Amendment Rights have been restored" the other is "but someone might cheat" Optimists and Pessimists. Truth is those guys who will use this as a way to cheat would have cheated anyway. I for one will be packing whenever I feel like it!

Why is carrying a sidearm while on a bow hunt any different than carrying one when I am fishing? I have never once been tempted to shoot a fish ;D I probably won't carry one due to the fact that it is just one more thing to stuff in an already heavy fanny pack. I will not feel any less safe in the field knowing my fellow archers are carrying a concealed weapon.

Its better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
While fishing a dnr lake a couple years ago I got off the water about 3 a.m. While walking up to my truck two guys came out of the woods and were approaching me. As they got close I asked if they were catching any fish and they responded that they werent fishing. I thought this aint gonna be good. We talked for a minute then I made my way to the truck. Nothing happened that night but it could have easily went another way out there in the middle of nowhere. I always carried after that incident. Its good to know I can now carrie legally. You never know when you will need it.
