You are on quite the adventure, sir! That fox is pretty cool as well! First fox i missed 3 days before. He snuk in on us at 20 yards and I missed him 3 times in the heat of battle. Rifle zeroed at 155, so fox at 20 yards went over him. Lol

Only activity for me tonight was some turkeys flying up on the neighbors land. One day theyβll make a mistake and be on us. Still a nice sit and look forward to many more.

Beautiful night in the woods. Light, easy wind which was perfect for the stand I sat. Ended up seeing 13 does and 2 small bucks. Couldnβt have been a better night without me killing something.

My first hunt of the year. It's a beautiful morning. I've seen 9 so far. No antlers, but I heard grunting behind me. It's raining acorns.

I am on the stand for the first hunt of the year. No sqirrels,no birds and no deer yet, but a nice day to be in the woods. Acorns are falling, wind is right few leaves falling, couldn't be happier with this evening. Rest of the day not so much. Haven't been able to get here in ages. Got here today and squirrels got in the camper. Walnuts everywhere walnut shaveings from eating them every where where, they chewed a hole in one of the uper cabinet doors and made a nest in there. Every drawer below the sink is full of leaves and sticks, the cabinet under bathroom sink is 1 foot deep with walnuts. At least they didn't chew up any thing importantnlike hunting cloths. Then I take off on atv to ride/check out trails and have no less than 2 big trees accross each trail. Won't be able to push them with tractor and bucket, will have to saw a log out of middle and tosh it out of way. Got atv stuck, high centered on one I was trying to get over but finally got it out. Found 2 dead deer. A big doe and a button, been dead about a week or less and smelled another one but too thick to investagate. So I decided to sit in a stand tonight and relax and refresh and let the world go on doing it's thing. I will go home tonight and prioritize what needs to be dune and get a time line set up to get things dune hopefully sooner than later. But right now I an enjoying the solitude of the stand

Was a great hunt. After the turkeys I saw 2 does feeding under an oak tree behind and to the left at 60 ish yds Watched then for 25 min then they walked off away from me. While I was watching them a big owl flew in and landed in a bowne down tree limb and sat there for 5 min looking around about 15 yds out
Shortly after the does left I caught movement to my right and had a nice 6 point at 45 yds. He went to the fence line then monied back to 45 yards and continued N. He was almost out of sight when I saw him pick up speed and he pushed a doe and yearling out and started grunting. The 2 deer went to the west and disapered. With in 5 min I had a doe and yearling work streight into me from the north. Do not know if the same 2 or not. Wile doe 1 and yearling was 5 yards out and facing me I hear more deer right and behind. I am wateing on doe 1 to turn and move out a little for a better shot angle. She does but it is never open. Limbs or brush. So I wate. Doe 2 the one o herd right and back and a yearling come on in and meet doe 1. 4 deer between 5 and 15 yards and no shots. Finally doe 1 moves broadside and open at 25 yards and.............. I can't see the cross hairs in the crossbow scope It had gotten too dark in the woods. Still had 15 ish min of shooting light left. Stayed in the tree another 25 min because I could hear deer moving but when I got down none spooked. There will be another day. Glad I chose to go tonight. It was a great evening. Had the old blood pumping good a couple times.

Sat in the stand for the first time this morning. Didnβt see any deer but I saw a bobcat, a raccoon, some turkeys fly down from the roost, and a hawk take part of a squirrels nest from a tree. Pretty eventful morning without seeing any deer.

Good morning my fine friends. I'm not in a stand, but I set down at my favorite spot despite already being busted by a doe. First time this whole year getting in the woods and man is it amazing.
