Not in Indiana on a lottery/reserved type gun hunt in Ohio. Couldn't get to my spot as I kept running into deer so I just set down. As I'm typing this I just had a 3.5 year old 8 point chasing a doe. Looked to my left and had a doe at 30 yards. She's down.

Good morning my fine friends. I'm not in a stand, but I set down at my favorite spot despite already being busted by a doe. First time this whole year getting in the woods and man is it amazing. Good to hear from you, I wondered where you have been! |

Wound up seeing 5 this morning and shot 3 of them. 8 point, doe, and button buck.

Only saw one this morning.
A young button buck. Had him at 17 yds.
Gave him a pass, I dont shoot button bucks on purpose.

We're back out for the evening sit trying to get my partner his first ever deer. Then we've gotta go back to the office to pick my deer up. They set up a walk in cooler for us to store deer in with the warmer temps. |

Sat until 9 this morning hoping that what blew would come back. Just as I suspected, didn't happen. Going back out in the morning but I'll be there earlier than this morning with the anticipation that I can put my new crossbow to the test

 He came in around 9:00 am with a smaller buck from behind me. He turned broadside at 15 yards. It was a heart shot but he only went about 10 yards and fell over which was kinda weird. Not a giant but pretty cool to get one on the first sit of the year. Forgot how to do this lol. Congratulations on a good harvest |

Not a giant but pretty cool to get one on the first sit of the year. I think I missed this post. Good deal. I would have put an arrow thru him and been elated. Nothing like takeing on on the first sit of the year no matter when it is Onebentarrow |

Well I made it to my sitting spot. Gonna sit here till 9 or so and see what happens. If nothing else, count my blessings for my lifetime of being with Mother Nature and ALL of her glory. Happy hunting, shoot straight and true but most importantly Be Safe
