9 shots so far. More than I’ve heard in recent years. Five were from one location. Gotta be a good story there. Or a bad one.

Had one blowing about 100 yards away this morning in the dark about 15 minutes before first light. Seen a small doe come through a few minutes ago. Have heard 5 shots in the first hour now. I would guess lock down is here in my area at least. Good luck everyone.

Seen a 6 point about 20 minutes ago. Only deer seen. Also heard a ridiculous number of shots in about a 10 minute span all around me. Must be where all my deer went lol. Been stupid slow all week here on my ground.

Had a spike at 8 yards at daybreak and that's been it. Maybe 5 shots heard.

So, this just happened. The guy crossed the field from me just shot at a herd of does that are 400 yards onto my property from his. 4 shots! I heard two of the bullets zip by right before the report of the rifle. Beyond livid!!!

Sure that many of you have missed or made a bad shot on a buck of a lifetime. Right now I'm devastated. Buck with 5 browtines all at least 7-10" long. Been watching this buck all week. 30 yards right through no mans land. Sure he will live & maybe see him again but I'm beside myself! "No man's land" is a myth that won't die. There is NO gap between the top of the lungs and spine. The spine does dip low at the shoulder and your shot could have went ABOVE the spine there. That said, most here (including myself) know how you feel, and it isn't fun. Are you positive of the location of the entrance wound? Did you find blood and recover your arrow/bolt? I'd definitely keep looking for it. And, yes, sometimes they do survive. I shot a buck the first week of November 2010, and never found it after an exhaustive search of hundreds of yards that uncovered numerous bloody beds. Two months later, that buck was hit and killed by a vehicle on a snowy January night with my arrow stub still lodged in its vertebrae. Hang in there! Best of luck to you!

Dammit. Had a doe creep in behind me. Spooked and hid in the beech brush without a shot.
