Have seen several deer in the cut corn so far. Areas that get them out of the high winds.

Just had nice buck walk by end of food plot that I am sitting on. Going opposite way of Luke. All the cam action is on plot he is watching, where there is a fresh scrape.
Would have been an easy gun shot.

Owls started hooting and it was pretty dang cool. 1st one was about where I parked then next one further to the west then another then another. Ended up hearing 10 different owls. I was almost laughing out loud. I have heard owls call back and forth but this was different. Worth the sit

Doe and fawn walked by me. Little too far for the xbow, even tho I don't have it as said.
They are walking up the lane towards Luke. Probably going to run out of light before they get there.
None of the deer were affected by the wind at all.

Congratulations to those who scored this weekend!
Did some in-season scouting this afternoon, since I don't have to worry about busting deer. Found some pretty torn up areas where lots of chasing has been occurring, so I marked a couple of trees with orange flagging tape for future ladder stand placement.
Ended up walking right up on a decent buck. I think he was feeding on acorns. I followed him in wet leaves, and caught up with him a second time. He wasn't too spooked and just trotted off both times I spotted him. Couldn't get a good look at the rack, but did note decent tine lengths. Probably an average 8 or 10.

Sit in the stand 630 till 1 pm . Zero deer got soaked . My buddy hunting another area still hunted a killed a nice 145 class buck . He seen 20 deer 3 of which was bigger than one he killed . At 9 o’clock I just about went for a walk but I had packed in 1/2 mile from truck . At 2 pm 24 deer checked in 20 was bucks . I’m sure that number grew closer to 50 by dark . Top 2 worst weather conditions I’ve ever hunted in it was not fun at all . The shop is currently covered with my gear trying to dry it out .

I posted a picture above. Here it is again. Around Shoals. Big Typ for sure… Kinda strange, IMO. The young guy that posted said he has also killed a 190" and this 1 is bigger. 😆 I mean, what are the odds of killing 2 - 190 plus free range whitetails in Indiana? IDK ??

Worth the sit Maybe 20 or so years ago, I was in the stand well before first light, and something dark swooped across my face but didn’t touch me. No idea what it was. Another minute, and it happened again, realized it was an owl. Absolutely could not hear wings or any idea it was coming. I freaked out and hurried down the stand till it was light enough to see. No way I want one of those things latching on my face.
