Seen 3 this evening. 2 doe and a small buck. The doe bedded behind me for almost 2 hours. Pretty dead day overall here. Wind was gusty and swirly all day. Weather tomorrow looks worse then today with more winds and rain showers. Guess ill get up and see how it looks to decide if i will venture out in the morning or wait till afternoon when rain quits.

Not exactly live from the stand. Just a few hours after. This is how the evening ended from an action packed hunt! Absolutely crazy!
Around 530 I had deer pile out of our northwoods. Within minutes there was 10 or 12 deer, buttons, does! About a minute later two 8 pointers came out chasing. Then they started sparring. But all of them kept looking to the south. A few minutes later, just a big old brute came running up to the group. I got a good look at him with the binoculars and he is a legit 12 pointer with double brows and a small kicker on the left! Out of the corner of my eye, and hearing noise behind me, I now have a huge doe getting chased by a young buck. Maybe 15 minutes later those two 8’s come chasing the group right under my stand and I’m pinned! Can’t move! And I see that brute of a buck come running over too! He got to a spot I’d ranged earlier at about 50 yards! Unfortunately, that huge doe being chased earlier, was now some 20 yards and directly downwind. I think she caught my scent or something because she stomped and took off to the south. The rest of the deer ran a bit back to the east, and continued to graze until the end of light! The morning was the same hot action! My heart is still pounding!!! Nothing down but a fantastic day!

My day ended with me busting a mature doe that was already in the stubble on my way out. Long day and I'm sitting out the morning tomorrow in hopes of missing the rain.

Buck down. Little ground shrinkage but I'll take it. Things were pretty quiet besides a few does early and then just after 10:00 I heard all kinds of crashing and grunting and four bucks we're chasing one doe. When he came by I had to yell to get him to stop that did him in. Now on to getting my reduction zone buck. WTG……what scope is that on the crossbow not sure I ever seen one that big on a crossbow, Interesting! The scope isn't really that big. I think the caps on it are making it look big. It's a Tenpoint scope like this one that is the updated model www.tenpointcrossbows.com/product/rangemaster-100-crossbow-scope/

Out in Laporte county. Super light drizzle made it easy to get in quiet. Fresh scrape 25 yards upwind of me that I didn’t know was there. Hopefully something comes to freshen it. Got a pic right when I sat down in my stand of a medium 8 200 yards west of me. Plus the neighbors are hunting. Hoping the human movement has the deer moving. Good luck to all and be safe. Today is another gift, let’s enjoy it!

I hunted my place yesterday morning. Saw 2 young bucks cruising. Checked a few cams and had a couple nice bucks poking around in the last week.
I’m at the Crane hunt today, gonna wait until the rain stops to go in and set up.

Figured the rain would still be around, which it is. Plus, I put a pork butt on last night and it’ll be done here in a few hours so I’m staying in this morning.
