It's getting very close for the big boys to start moving a lot more and during daylight hours. My cameras are still mostly night so far. Holding off a few more days.

All set. First one for me without my daughter. Definitely have to get back into the swing of things. Forgot the bino harness and release. Lucky I keep a spare in the bag.

Had a small buck on one of my cell cameras this morning on my walk in. I didn’t spook him so that’s good.

I’m in a low risk spot and expect for the two early on it’s also been low reward. Fairly thick so maybe not seeing much from that as well.

Rattled in a 100” 8 point this morning. He hung out for 30 minutes. Had some does move through. Squirrels have been going crazy 80 yards out… hopefully they’re barking at a biggin. 🤞🏼

Finally made it out this season. Forecasted NE wind was great. Everything according to plan until the does were straight out from me and the wind switched almost 180°. They didn't blow out of the field, but they threw their heads up, turned and fed the other direction till out of sight. I waited another half hour and left as the wind was still SE instead of NE. I have houses right behind me to my south. Hopefully, they react that way to smelling someone out in their backyard and don't think much about it.
