It's actually on my radar, thanks. Today was the first time out in the cold for the year, so guess I just wasn't used to it. My hunting room needed some long overdue cleaning out, so that took out the Sunday pm hunt. While sorting thru stuff, I found a brand new pair of bibs that are twice as thick and heavy as my current ones. I also found two pairs of electric socks. So, I'll give this stuff a go on the next cold snap before committing to breaking the bank. Lol. I have NO IDEA when and where I collected so much stuff! We brought home a stack of totes to help organize, and we labeled everything, so its much better now. Sounds toasty!

Despite the warm temperatures just got a picture of a nice ten pointer in the daylight. I believe the woods are about to blow up.

I own a Heater Body Suit and can honestly recommend it. Obviously you have to take the time to get into it once you reach the stand, but it really does keep you warm. I don't use it often -- I think the last time was the 2022(?) firearms opener when a snow blew in at dawn and my suit was covered with a thick layer of snow. Congratulations on the buck, Tacoma! It's actually on my radar, thanks. Today was the first time out in the cold for the year, so guess I just wasn't used to it. I pulled the trigger and ordered this from Scheels. Its less expensive than the name brand Heater Body Suit. I read a lot of reviews, and for the price, I'll bite. It has zippers on the sides so you can leave your arms out or just out to shoot. Will report after use.

I know this isn’t Indiana, but we all like seeing good deer, right? My buddy from Ohio killed this in West Virginia last night. Nice. Southern OH, eastern KY, and western WV that we visit has some incredible hills and hollers that home some awesome deer. We see pics of local deer that make you smile.

They are XL and fit perfect. Should do the trick. I got these from Scheels, and special on XL was $199 and free shipping.

I usually order a 2X in coveralls to accomodate layers underneath and my pants are 36" waist (usually considered a size L in hunting pants). Just wondering how the "fit perfect" was in relation to... underlayers and coveralls considered or just a layer or 2 and then the suit?

At work now... Tomorrow I will put on my hunting costume, lol, and get back into it. I will report back.

I love Scheels. I went to my first one in Omaha. They have a lot of good hunting brands you can't find anywhere else and employees that know about the gear. The 50 BMG they had on display was nice to look at also.

I'm on deercation all next week. As luck would have it, after months of drought, rain is showing up this weekend. Lol! It looks like warmer temps next week as well (especially Monday and Tuesday).
I'm torn as to whether I should work Monday and Tuesday and save those two days for firearms season or not. I consider November 4-8 to be the best days of the year, which happens to be Monday-Friday this year, so it pains me to miss two of those days in the woods. But, rain isn't conducive to good blood trailing, nor do I feel like getting wet. I have a tree umbrella, but no ground blinds.
Thoughts and advice?
