20’ up in my Summit this morning. Started my lengthy vacation today. Things have been S L O W around here, but I haven’t been in my good spots yet either. Need some rain and cold temps!

 It's getting worse. Lol! I’ve got a pack of ten in vanderburgh county. Seeing coyotes every hunt almost. Seeing deer but not like last year. |

Just rattled in 2 small 8 pointers.
They came from different directions and met up about 50 yds from me and put on a little show.

I own a Heater Body Suit and can honestly recommend it. Obviously you have to take the time to get into it once you reach the stand, but it really does keep you warm. I don't use it often -- I think the last time was the 2022(?) firearms opener when a snow blew in at dawn and my suit was covered with a thick layer of snow. Congratulations on the buck, Tacoma! It's actually on my radar, thanks. Today was the first time out in the cold for the year, so guess I just wasn't used to it. My hunting room needed some long overdue cleaning out, so that took out the Sunday pm hunt. While sorting thru stuff, I found a brand new pair of bibs that are twice as thick and heavy as my current ones. I also found two pairs of electric socks. So, I'll give this stuff a go on the next cold snap before committing to breaking the bank. Lol. I have NO IDEA when and where I collected so much stuff! We brought home a stack of totes to help organize, and we labeled everything, so its much better now. |

Out with my daughter on the farm they work at cleaning stalls. My 2 buddies are meat hunters and are seeing deer here regularly.

 Deer I passed up Sunday . Buddies have been giving crap but body tells me he is 3.5 . I’ve killed 3 deer 150 out of this stand biggest 186 2 years ago . |

Seen a spike to finish out this morning. Back into a different stand at 3. Spike came under me at 3:30 from the east, while watching him and taking pictures a respectable 8 came in right behind me at 20 yards. He comes back through I may not pass him up again.

Had a new buck show up this morning after all the good bucks disappearing from camera about a week ago. I’d like for this guy to step out at 30 yards soon while I’m on stand.  |

I hunted last two mornings and 1 small buck. Nothing moving. I think I'm holding out for a week before hunting those two stands.
