Well at this point, either the "Home Team" forfeited the game or they called an audible. Either way, I haven't seen anything but tree rats. Go tomorrow or Tuesday or Wednesday if you can. You will see a big change in movement.

Got a picture of a bobcat yesterday😂 I’m late on my trail maintenance but now it’s done. That's the way to do it. I use something similar to that. It's amazing what they can chew through.

Against my better judgment, I'm off to a closer location for a evening hunt. Brought a cooler of ice just in case I get lucky

On a private piece I haven’t been on in 2 years. This wind up here in wide open farm country is right on the cusp of being too much. Weather graph says 22 mph. Hoping it slows down for last hour of light.

We shot the crossbow with the intent of making it out tonight. Then the BIG wind hit. Holy moly! It blew off a good amount of leaves, and brought in a big temp drop. It is now cranking along so bad, I dont know if I would even gun hunt!
So... I got out my old Excalibur crossbow and tuned it up. Shooting lights out like usual.
Now we will both be able to hunt separately when we start our season. Got a trip out of town next weekend, then the hunting will go on the front burner.

Windy as heck and I’m wet from watering , but I’m plopped in a lawn chair 50 yards down wind of a scrape. WORTH IT!
Happy October 🤗

I'm trying to stay out from hunting so I don't do something stupid like falling. So easy to trip and hurt the knee. All these posts gets me itchy to hit the woods. Keep it going!
