Well, congrats to all those hunters getting it done. This has been the slowest season I can remember. Opening day only heard about 4 shots. We've been hunting everyday since opening and I have seen my Momma and her twins once, (Thursday). That was it. The scraps and rubs on property didn't look like they have been used in at least a week. Had at least 8 different bucks running around all fall until Nov 4th, only had about 5 pics in the last week and half, all at night. Well Thursday night changed and almost all the bucks are back on camera in last 2 days. But only at night so far. Had a couple battling last night at the only scrap being used so far. Hopefully see some day movement soon. Still have a few days left to get something. Back at it bright and early, good luck to all...SF Woods   You aren’t alone. This season has been by far the least amount of deer activity on my one piece of property that I’ve been hunting for 8 years. Hoping that it all turns around soon. Keep your head in there…. Still lots of season left. |

Up date from last night. Saw 0 deer, 2 squrrels 0 birds. Saw one in wheat field comming in head lights of atv. First deer I have spooked this year going in or our. I am up and trying to get body working to go this morning

Good morning all! Headed out to the shop to get ready and round up my gear. I decided to do something a little different this morning. I'm going to sit on the ground underneath and irrigation system, next to one of the wheels. I'll sit in my turkey chair and through up one of the skirt blinds. Wind will be in my face as I over look a couple hundred yards of cut corn between the woods and I.

All set for the morning. Bumped some turkeys off of their roost as they were in the same tree I am sitting in. See how the morning goes.

Set up ready for a short hunt before church. Zero activity yesterday morning, climbed down a little after 11 and spent yesterday evening with the family. Good luck and shoot straight.

Ready to go. Little bit of a fog/haze in the air this morning. I didn't see any deer on the drive in. I saw one in the field just as soon as I started walking out. Just under a half mile walk at 736 yards.  |

It actually gives you quite a bit of concealment sitting against the irrigation tire. Interested to see how it works for you. |

Back in the blind for day 2 for Wisconsin......passed on 15 does and 4v small bucks yesterday....cool enough to get v deer moving some. Have a dang gobbler that won't leave me alone

Of course, they take off just min before shooting time. That happened to Luke yesterday. Then when one finally cooperated, he said it needed two more steps to clear a tree, and it winded him. |

Sat out last night, took wife out for dinner and shopping.
We are sitting out today as well. Gonna try Trail Creek for steelhead.
Working on a big batch of jerky now.
All the busy schedule and hard efforts have caught up with me and screaming to take a break!
