 Found them this morning. I have went look for these a few times this winter and came up empty handed. Not today!! Probably caught a couple dz, biggest was 20 1/4 long. All released. |

  Had a cold snap come in last night. We only caught a dz or so between us. Fish were only out of the water 15-20 seconds and you can see their fins were freezing already. Hope they all lived, only in 16ft of water. |

I love the taste of fresh cold water Smallmouth. Maybe that should be an Erie trip instead of trolling for WE? A lot of restrictions on the Ohio Lake Erie Smallmouth during cool weather times. Smallmouth bass spawn in late spring, and to reduce fishing pressure on bass there is a daily harvest limit on Lake Erie of one bass from May 1 to June 23, 2023, with an 18-inch minimum size. Outside of this timeframe, the daily limit for smallmouth bass is five, with a 14-inch minimum size. |

What were you using for bait? Brother was using a ripping rap, I was using silver Swedish pimple tipped with minnow head on my jigging pole, shiner on dead stick. |

Depends where you plan to fish, some waters are open year around except June is catch and release only. Limit is 4 in most waters. |

Hit the river this afternoon. Caught 2 crappie and a rockbass. Snagged an asain carp that had a big lampey on it. Nice weather.

Got out before daylight this morning, wind was not to bad at the house but was HORRIBLE out on the lake. We only fished for a couple hours. Caught and released 7 smallmouth.

Worms about 1 1/2 ft of water next to bank. Gave bass a break today. This in coming weather will once again screw it up again for a few days.  |

I caught and released maybe 20 8"+ Hybrid Bluegills, a few regular 'gills and maybe a dozen 10" Hybrid Crappies.  |
