Spent 3 hours today fighting the wind and caught 1 mussel! Well, it was in the mushroom anchor when I reeled it up. 😄
The good news, the Merc 115 fired up like it had been ran yesterday!

Luke fished my pond today, caught one small Hybrid Crappie. I'll fish it tomorrow so I can send Deadeer pictures to show Luke how it's done. LOL
Then again I could do worse than he did today, you never know.

Caught this beauty yesterday out of a private lake. We ended up catching 5 total before I was forced to leave but there are bigger large mouth in there. I hooked 1 last year 2x this size but unfortunately it shook my lure loose

The fish should be at least what they weigh for their length in this chart. If not then they need to take out 30#-40# of bass per surface acre of the size that isn't at least 100% relative weight.

Well, I had worse luck than Luke at my pond yesterday. 2nd cast something grabbed the jig and plastic, I set the hook, the fish was on for about 1 second then the line broke. I packed it in for the day after that, too much other stuff to do.
Time to re-spool ALL the rods & reels, the line on them is 2 or 3 years old.

Got out this morning at 6:30. Could have had my limit in the first half hour but was letting them all go. Around 8:00 the flood gate opened and next thing I new I had 20 people surrounding me, I told one fella that setup 10ft from me that he could just have my hole, packed up and I’ll wait until everyone goes back south Sunday.

Reeled in about 8 baby channels and 1 gill. Good day. I just wish they were bigger and walleyes!

Had a few crawlers left over so ran down to the spillway. Fish were biting immediately. Landed 2 carp of equal size about 3 pounds. Missed 3 others and landed a gill. Cut one carp for bait and had a few nibbles but nothing big.
Pretty fun but cold. Been a while since I landed a regular buglemouth bass. Felt like a redfish

That's cool. I remember when I saw one under the Main Street Bridge in Mishawaka 2 days in a row running the bank on the North side of the river.

I'm into venturing out to new new fishing spots. Not looking to keep anything, just making memories. Anyone have ideas on any places to try? Usually I go to Hoosier National Forest lakes, Bluegrass area lakes. I'm not looking for keepers, just memories.

I hit a few public access spots when I don't feel like taking my boat out. Lake monroe, white river, falls of the ohio. I am sure patoka has some public areas that hold crappie like monroe does.
