Me and a couple buddies hit goldeneye up by Webster yesterday. Had a solid 6" of ice all over. Looks like we get to fish for a day or 2 before the warm comes back ....
Get out and stay safe all.

Found a little state access to the beach so fished the surf. Don't know what I am doing but had fun. 1 white fish (great eating) 2 sail cats (as good as any cat fish and 1 I do not know. But will find out if it is good tasting. I know a lot of people here would not keep fish "that small" but I am useto cleaning 8 in perch and 7 in bluegills so no big deal

Good for you Onebentarrow! They say those whiting are good eating. We had a guy more than happy to take the couple we caught from a pier last year.

Fishing was bad tonight, I setup in 20ftw. Caught 4 northern, marked a number of big marks right at dark but couldn’t get them to hit. Guessing walleye.

I am heading down in June. Driving this time and planning to bring a cooler for a mess of fish I catch. Whiting are top of my list.

Anyone tried the new Bubba Pro series fillet knife? I really like the speed of it over my old Rapala cordless but I wish the handle length was a little shorter and lighter.

Family from Indiana brought up the standard one, smaller profile, but mine had more blade speed. I tried to trade him..LOL
