I got drawn for archery here on Dec 11. Can anyone give me some information about this place? Some of you that hunted here what kind of success did you have? Thanks, h.h.

I've put in for that place for years and have never been drawn. It's 15-20 minutes from my home. I know a boy shot a dandy down there last year with a ML. Allot of guys go way to the back (south end) where the swamps are. That'll be a long drive for you won't it?

I drive through there every morning before school. During the summer I go through there every morning and evening. I have some pictures of some good bucks that I got this summer. As far as scouting just do it before the season opens in there.

Is Muscatatuck open every day? I'm looking for a general place to start and since my hunt is late it looks like WW gave me a place. Thanks, h.h.

Yes it is open everyday of the year. Between my buddy and I we got 3 days to hunt in there. I hunt everyday in there after last Muzzleloader is over. I just mainly film them. I saw several shooters in there during late bow. It was very rare if I didnt see a deer at all.

When is your hunt? The only stands ive got that aren't climbers are the kind you can't use on state ground because they have tree spikes for mounting and they sit hard. I'm afraid they might get stolen.
Since this is a late hunt in Dec and archery will see what the weather is like before i go. A few years ago i drawed a late archery hunt at Newport and a snowstorm caused me to cancel the hunt.
Any info you might want to share would be appreciated. h.h.

You can pretty much be rest assured that it will be cold...lol lol
Muskat is an interesting concept.
They turn massive amounts of folks away each year....yet they allow muzzleloaders and archery to hunt the same days.
That's kinda against the grain....as lots of bowhunters will testify to the fact that M/l's and archery don't mix....lol

I've been drawn for the 7th for archery.
Not sure what my son drew yet.
I did miss out on Crane AGAIN..
We use hang on stands with rope on steps. All quite legal.
Gobblerstopper got drawn too, but I dont know what date he has.

I got drawn with a bow on the 5th. Should be deer around still.
I got a buddy that says if I switch to his crew at work, he'll let me go with him and use his ml tag on opening day.
