Public land is only open until noon so I'm on my 3rd and final setup for the day. Besides the hen earlier it's been extremely quiet. I did see a bird sneak into some woods near where I am now but couldn't tell if it was a hen or Tom. If I'm in tomorrow I'll try the spot I got my bird at last year.

Very quiet here in southern Jackson Co.....just a couple pretty far off talking. Sounds like they all just wanted to be quiet today. Gonna take this afternoon off for honeydos and back at it tomorrow. Looks like rain this evening but out of here by 6-7AM

Had a good sized hen come across a ditch and enter the food plot at about 40 yards, pick around awhile and then left headed north away from us.
Nothing trailing her.

Sat in a field for 3 hours and never saw or heard anything. Talked to an older guy that owns land along the border and he said about 2 weeks ago the Tom’s were so fired up he wanted to shoot them just to shut them up, but this week he hasn’t heard much of anything. This is my second year turkey hunting and I’ve never seen a Tom. Everything I’ve read ion how to kill them is based off calling, so if they aren’t calling back then I don’t know what to do. I guess I’m done here. Solid advice from deaddeer!! You definitely need to try to find the birds and pattern them. A lot of birds will work in silently so be patient and sit tight for at least a half hour after you’ve called last. Don’t get discouraged because it can happen when you least expect it!!

Right now, Friday and Saturday forecast saying rain after noon-1pm, and Sunday a washout for the NW. Let's go boys. That forecast didnt last long. Lol. Now rain for FIRST HALF of tomorrow. Don't bother me at all, I'll be in a blind. I've taken around half my birds in the rain.

Setup in the blind. Pulaski County. Slow steady rain coming down. I’m setup on the opposite side of the small patch of woods from the last two days. Seems like they’ve gravitated towards this side both days. Didn’t put any decoys out. Seems like they didn’t want anything to do with them and I’m hoping to catch some natural movement 🤞
