Last minute decision to move the blind closer to the ridge they travel. Was gonna do it after the hunt, but didnt want to screw around when the rain was heavier. Hearing distant gobbles now. Light rain, very peaceful. Ready, set, GO!!!

Nice morning. Hunting different area than where I missed my bird yesterday. Not much activity here but did kill a jake here last season. Trying to redeem myself. Good luck to everyone today. Been a great year. Lot of people I know already tagged out

Was nice to hear some gobbling this morning but it got quiet quick. Gonna sit in this spot for a while and head towards some fields just before the potential rain is suppose to begin.

1 Tom and 7 hens came across from the side I’ve been hunting the last two days.🤦🏻♂️
Worked straight out into the field. Now 5 million yards out. Ugh….

Well twisted my ankle on the hike out today. Got a ton of rain and it’s rocky everywhere. I’m out of commission for a few days  |

I got a few gobbles in response but dead silent now. |

Trying a third different setup on these same gobblers for the third morning in a row. Not much gobbling at all this morning. Just play the sit and wait game.

Your winning percentage is better than most for the years you have invested. I envy your enthusiasm! My has slipped some over the years, but Luke is getting all ramped up, and THAT is what keeps me in the game. |

Was supposed to go to a friends place to call for him this morning but last minute he says he doesn’t want to hunt in the rain, so I stayed up to 12:30 with my wife and daughter to watch a movie on tv and didn’t make it out.
Here at my back window 20 minutes ago I watch that Tom with a short beard walk about 30 yds in front of my blind….good grief. Lol

I cant believe how much more mobile and limber I am in my hunting clothes and in the blind since shedding the weight! Looking forward to another 30-40# going away.

I envy your enthusiasm! I greatly appreciate such a compliment! I got a late start in the game and always put forth my best effort to learn and execute. I'm also very competitive even if I'm only competing with myself and this wildlife we all love to chase. Thank you again that means alot coming from a seasoned vet such as yourself! |

No gobbles here. I set up on a ridge where they like to strut. Somehow didn't spook a flock of 6 jakes as they flew down right on top of me. Been 45 minutes and they won't go away even trying to shoo them away with my camo umbrella/partial blind.
