Thankfully I got in today. Been in my current spot since 5:30am and it has been very quiet. I'm going to get up and move to another spot and glass some fields on my way. There is a small wood line between the path and the fields allowing me to set up if there are birds in the fields. Fingers crossed and hoping to get lucky!

Not a single gobble today here at my place in Monroe county. Yesterday was slow but at least something chattered. Ended up finding a few dozen mushrooms at least

Didn't end up going this morning, going tomorrow. It was amazing to sleep in until 5:45 for the first time in a week

Man it sure went dead after fly down. Just silence. Gonna be another morning of sitting in the blind calling every now and then hoping something shows up.

I think they forgot how to gobble! Haven’t heard one in two days.

Sat in a field for 3 hours and never saw or heard anything. Talked to an older guy that owns land along the border and he said about 2 weeks ago the Tom’s were so fired up he wanted to shoot them just to shut them up, but this week he hasn’t heard much of anything. This is my second year turkey hunting and I’ve never seen a Tom. Everything I’ve read ion how to kill them is based off calling, so if they aren’t calling back then I don’t know what to do. I guess I’m done here.

Just missed 😢. Three toms broke from the woods and charged the decoys. Started to spook so took a quick shot and missed. Time for quick bite and back at it

Man it’s dead here. Think I’m gonna pack it in. Gotta finish tearing the rear out of my atv and do some brush hogging. Maybe try this evening

2nd setup started with no decoys. Called a hen in and talked to her for a few and was hoping something would follow her but nothing else. Put the dekes up after she left. Gonna sit tight for a bit and see what happens. I've had toms on cam in this spot around 9:45 central time.

Then set up and try to work them in, or if you can pattern an area they frequent, ambush them. Once your successful, its game on. I had zero interest at the start. Then a buddy with great knowledge talked me into going, and the rest is history. Good luck.

Another beautiful and mostly quiet day. We did hear one gobble three times around 8am. Sounded like he was a couple hundred yards away.
The only “bird” we’ve seen is a vulture thst sat in a tree at the end of the food plot for a couple hours.
We did hear one shot south of us towards Nitestalker’s ground.

I was in the middle of GOBBLE FEST. They were gobbling where I should have been AND they were gobbling where I wish I could have been both places were about a 1/4 mile away. They went on for 20 mins then silence. Saw 1 deer walk out into my decoys and walk away.

Taking my show on the road for tomorrow, different spot where my wife saw birds this morning. Mount a strutter decoy on the front bumper and you might be able to ride right up to them!

Had one hen come into the decoys and a black snake slither by the blind. That’s it so far. Was nice to finally see a turkey up close. Still super quiet though. These birds were on fire two weeks ago. Gobbling everywhere. Now barely anything.
