He’s gobbling like crazy within a 100 yds back in the woods, but he won’t come out here with this real hen that’s feeding. Frustrating…

Staying in today again, it's raining and sleeting, the ground is soaked and it's 38 degrees. Come on you call that a excuse your a duck hunter I thought you lived for that kind of weather |

We made a couple moves on him after he gobbled moving away from us, but we couldn’t track him down. The woods are so thick it’s hard to find one in the middle of it!!

The green up is super thick and ahead of schedule in the NW. I have always preferred to hunt fields, edges, corners, etc, but stuck with woods and a 1/2 acre food plot this season. |

That’s why I get nervous when I don’t get a bird by the first weekend, the green up happens so fast and I don’t have any fields to hunt |

Got to my spot and there was a truck in the field. I thought oh no someone else is hunting. Few minutes later they get in the truck and looked like they had a bag of mushrooms. One of them had a full red shirt on. I would never walk in the woods with a red shirt on right now. They field was planted the evening before season. Is it harmless to drive in the field if the crops aren't up yet? I have no idea if they have permission. Owner is an investor and leases the farming rights but I know who farms it.

That's one of the fastest things that'll get me booted off the farm behind my house, driving in the field after he's planted. Big no no on that farm. I would never dream of doing that anyhow. |

Hunting up in Michigan for the first time this year. Had a mob of jakes come in and sexually abused my decoys for a half hour. Twelve in all, just got them all set back up.  |
