Turkey’s came back the hen came right up to my blind Tom’s never got within 75 80 yards they took off again to the back woods but I’m calling it a day the sky is black looks like a nasty one will be here soon hate to call it but I got stuff to do as always and getting soaked walking back to the house isn’t one of them Good luck Dang it for you Dave! Bright and beautiful sunshine in Plymouth area. Wind is picking up in waves tho. We are thinking 11am will be it for us if this keeps up. I still fill good about getting one been watching theses turkeys for sometime I know what they do were they go 70% of the time or dang close I’ve had a few chances so I fill good just need a bit of luck to seal the deal |

It was 43 degrees this morning, damp and calm.
Another birdless day never even heard one.
Canada geese driving me crazy, where are they at come waterfowl season?
Taking tomorrow off to do some honey dos.

Luke and I love chicken wings. So I splurged and took him to Wings Etc for lunch. We polished off 24 TNT flavored ones like we were in a wing eating contest. Lol

My grandson and I put in 10+ hour days Wednesday through Friday and saw one hen - twice. Today this guy shows up. See the blind in the background?  |

So far this year I have not seen a bird, not even a hen, 2 weeks ago the birds were in my two areas I hunt like crazy, now nothing. I had a 20 year turkey streak going and broke it last year without getting a bird. I think I may have lost my turkey Mojo. I have the next 8 days off so hopefully a blind one walks past me. I have so much I need to get done though that it is hard to spend so much time in the turkey woods. That ain’t nothing. Going from killing 3 turkeys a year every year for 12 years to have a 7 year streak of nothing can get to ya. Of course that’s when I stopped hunting ky. I know things can change in a heartbeat just like deer hunting. A guy just has to keep grinding away and if it don't happen I can feel good about giving it my best shot. And you know what, I did not kill one last year and I am still living.  |

I thought maybe it was just here since nobody said anything I swear 30 % of the geese population have been flying over my house honking away the last few days either that or 50 of them are flying in circles |

Had a restaurant/bar just up the road from me they had killer wings now it’s a Mexican Restaurant food sucks prices doubled service is bad at best That place was normally full with people eating drinking picking up food pizzas now your lucky to see 5 people in that place eating or drinking |

Did 3 evening hunts,wed,thur,fri. and 2 morning hunts ,sat.,sun, and have only seen 2 hens.
Lots of gobbling way south of where I'm hunting.
Not sure if I'll afternoon hunt next week. Working in the prime time mornings. Seen tons of deer. Go figure. Lol

Nothing so far really not hunting as much as watching unfortunately I need to work next week so my hunting will be night hunts only fairly sure what’s what but more info never hurts and just maybe one of them makes a mistake should be coming around 715 730 feed in the yard and hit the front woods to roost about dark

Well today was a first for me.....first turkey of an evening and first time for two birds in a year (KY and IN). Not a very exciting story. Being so windy I hunted on the side of a hill facing away from the wind and it was just calm as all get out. Looked at my phone - 6:04, I was thinking the birds I heard gobbling on the roost was somewhere close to where I was set up. No calling and shortly after setting up, I saw a bird working his way towards me. He came up on the logging road below me at that was it. Got my future hunting buddy (Elli) next to me....she wasn't quite sure about it! LOL  19 lbs 1" spurs 8.5" beard |
