I could take it or leave it. I don't hunt till end of oct and probably wouldn't change. And you'll be hunting one less deer this season. Lol! A couple of weeks ago, I hit a huge doe on the highway just west of your road on my way to work. 55 MPH, dead center of the bumper. I drove right over it and it came out the back after some serious bucking by the Jeep. Lol! Absolutely no damage except for a broken turn signal lens. The steel bumper and bull bar did their jobs.

I am sure it improves the illegal things that go on, I have seen numerous pictures of kids 4 to 6 years old posing with big deer that they "supposedly" shot. I wasn't allowed to deer hunt until I was 12, so I have a hard time believing these kids shot the deer and good ole dad pulled the trigger instead. That is another thing wrong with this country, we try to accomodate everyone and don't make them work for anything. That last sentence fits so meny categories I am not even gona go there

I hate the person that came up with everybody gets a trophy too. Now kids think they are entitled to everything. Oops, I better stop cause I could go on and on about how weak our society is getting.

Leave my deer alone! That is impressive on lack of damage. There seem to be more deer around last few years than normal but maybe just my travel patterns have been different. I saw a small buck dead in the field just west of my road a couple days ago. Hunting season is 365 days around roads.

I'm pretty sure that mine didn't have antlers, but can't say 100%. I had no idea where it ended up, and I never saw it's carcass after work in the daylight. No way that it survived a 55 MPH broadside hit and going under my Jeep. I

Saw the antler. I would have expected you would have seen the antlers, even at 55 mph

Lol! I was somewhere in that straight section of highway between your road and the guy who has the crop field in his front yard. Not sure of the exact spot. Is that buck on the north side of the highway?

I bet it was the one you hit. Maybe it only had 1 antler? I only saw 1 side. You may had hit the side that already shed. I was surprised to see the antler on it.

Woke up. Lawrence co grows the toughest bucks. Or someone else saw it and thought the tenderizing you did made it look good for sausage.
My guess someone saw the antlers and either spoke to the landowner or the land owner scooped it up and dumped it out of his ag field before it rotted up too bad.

No Reason number 1. Way to hot. Reason number 2. Still way to hot. Reason number 3. Just wanting a even longer archery season. When is enough?
