I've got a day in my office today working on reports before I head to Cleveland. So I threw together this half sandwich for lunch to see if I like it. Dewigs Braunschweiger with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese, French's mustard, Great Gherkins dill pickles on some toasted Rye!

I think people just have the word liver before them and they are turned off. Be that as it may, I like it from time to time.😉

Finished making snack sticks yesterday for the family, putting them in the smoker this morning. 50lbs of Honey BBQ, 25lbs of jalapeno with pepperjack cheese, 50lb's of pepperoni with mozzarella cheese sticks.

We just picked up our specialty meats this morning. Jalapeno and cheese salami, bbq stix, and ring bologna. A full brown paper grocery sack packed full of goodies for $137.
We use Gary's Custom Meats in Union, MI. Been dealing with them for 22 years. Always first class, excellent results, and great value compared to others locally.
I've tried making a few specialties over the years, but never completely satisfied. So, figure it's well worth paying and knowing you will be getting consistent, top quality products.

Another batch of my whole wheat bread in the works! Cover it and let it rise about 15 minutes and then into the 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes!

I’m trying to decide on what to fix for the Super Bowl. I’ll be alone which is kinda strange. My wife flew down to Texas to help with 4 grandkids as my daughter has another surgery. Grandson is working and then heads to a youth group party. I’d hit a drive thru but that seems crazy since I have freezers full of meat. Hmmm!? I guess I’ll head to church and think about it!

That sounds good omega! Still undecided. It may sound goofy to some, but I’m actually perusing our decades old, Hopewell Mennonite cookbook. It’s a cookbook with recipes compiled from my relatives and ancestors, long ago, coming from the members of that Kouts, Indiana church.
