No pictures from our spread, but we had...
I smoked a turkey and 2 blocks of cream cheese.
BIL fried chicken breasts.
MIL cooked a roast and made Italian beef,
Mashed taters, gravy, stuffing, baked beans, tater salad, and deviled eggs.
Wow, what a feast!

We had turkey, ham, homemade Mac n cheese, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, Caesar salad, and Hawaiian rolls. Quite the spread for just four of us. Needless to say there’s plenty of leftovers.

Christmas dinner for just momma and me..
Air fried two filets, twice baked potatoes and we compromised on the vegetable. She says steamed broccoli and I said anything but that. We had pickled baby beets for our vegetable.

Kept it simple. Way too cold and windy to smoke. Course salt pepper and garlic. Butter for the binder to help spg stick better. Put Worcestershire sauce over couple days before because it was thawing out in fridge. 500 degrees in oven on convection bake for 25 mins to get crust on outside. Back down to 250 or so for remaining cook. Just like smoking meat. May get done sooner or later than expected. I cranked it up to about 300 couple time to help it along because we were starving. Got to have a good thermometer to monitor temp. Took it to 135 let it rest. This one took about 3 hrs. FYI house will get smoky because of high temp of oven. Use a cookie sheet but get a wire cooking rack for it to set on while cooking. I kept bone in.
Use drippings to make au jus for dipping.
Lots of recipes on internet.

I like cream-o-wheat and I like chocolate . I know they make chocolate rice chrispies so I got my water boiling put 2 packs of swismiss hot chocolate in it then the cream-o-wheat. I like mine kind of thick. When it was dune it wasn't bad. Had a hot chocolateish taste. I think next time I will try coco powder and sugar to try to get a more chocolate flavor. I also know that cream-o-wheat will set up like gelatin so I may let some set solid and see if I can make a chocolate treat kind of like a browney
Experiment to continue
If it works out may have to make a YouTube vedio and get rich. Haha

Looking and sounding good fellas!
Walmart has a bunch of prime rib. Both bone in and boneless. Like to see it come down in price a little before I strike though.

Meijers Prime Rib sale ended on Sunday. Choice Black Angus Prime Rib for $5.99/lb. They'd cut it to any size you want, but if you got a whole one they were running between 18# and 23# each. Bone-in. I have to cut mine into steaks and vac pack them individually. This past year I've never seen prime rib steaks for $5.99/lb.

I dont really have much freezer space open at the moment.

I took your advise last week and took advantage of that sale at Meijer's on the prime ribs. Folks were grabbing them right of the cart as they were trying to restock the display. I might regret I didn't purchase more.

A fast as he eats meat they could have one consumed before the temps got above freezing. I am running short of space and I don't have any of them in the freezer yet - but I will by Thursday. If he needs another freezer, I have a chest type one that is frost free that I haven't plugged in in about 10 years, and it's about 23 cu. ft............ I think he has room in his garage for it. LOL

Well, My grandson is hot on the cooking trail and finally convinced me to try his best shot at A Beef Wellington! I traded a guy some venison for a beef tenderloin. So he’s in the middle of the process. This ought to be interesting!

Dang! The kid did an awesome job for his first try. Not that I would know from a chef's perspective. Tasted excellent! I do know this, it's a lot of work and takes the better part of 3 hours!
