Whooped again. I tried a new spot this afternoon. I jumped rabbits but, couldn't get any shots off. The property is getting some timber taken out and the brush piles were nice. Also big thorn tickets too. I chased rabbits around them a couple times but, I just couldn't get any good shots off. I had one opportunity to shot one that stopped at ten yards. Bush wasn't too thick but, all I could see was its back end. I didn't want to blow the guts out.
It was nice putting boots on new ground anyhow. I traveled 4,102.62 yards.
The landowner came out and checked on me while I was there. He encouraged me to walk out to the other side of his property that boarders the Iroquois and see if I would be interested in waterfowl hunting it. Keeping in mind that I don't know much about waterfowl hunting yet, I thought it looked great. There is a couple spots that the river spills over into small little ponds now. But, by looking at the lines on some trees, you can see that the water floods back there and gets up a little.

Hunted yesterday with my pops and my brother we got 4. No pictures this time. The dog won't be happy next weekend. Poor girl loves to go. She is 9 years old still in her prime. My opinion on dogs from my experience is the first 3 years they run to fast and over run the track. Next 3 years they figure out when it has doubled back a lot quicker. And 6-10 they slow down and have seen most situations and don't get tripped up as easy. After 10 the desire is still there they just seem to tucker out faster. Just my 2 cents. What have other people experienced?
