Guys done a good job sorting today. Only kept about 35 fish for 7 people. Biggest was a 14 1/2 inch. Going to hit up a different lake I scouted today, catch and release. They should have fun with better quality fish. That's a nice crappie!

I went up to the North Webster area myself yesterday. Fish were pretty tight lipped but I managed a few small yellow perch. How much ice? Thinking about trying Wawasee tomorrow on the slip. I think it was around 5". There were already a couple guys nearby so I didn't measure. I'm not from up there but I think I was in the bay next to what you locals call the slip. The bite was slow Monday. I guess one of the other guys saw a pike and a couple of bass just sitting on the bottom.

Are you talking about the snappers? I know lobsters used to be considered trash but that was like 100+ yrs ago. I could see grunts as used to be trash but now are accepted as decent. I released most everything except a few to keep as bait. I was thinking of the Parrot and Trigger Fish. We ate the trigger. It was very good but I can see why they may have been not as popular.

Great trip!! I hear you on the being selective part. I get spoiled fishing private water. LOL The Bluegills that I toss back people's eyes would bug out at.

Was going to start the new 2023 thread, but we caught these fish yesterday. I snowmobiled everyone into one of my secret ponds for some walleye action, they asked why the hell I waited to show them this place the day before they head home to Indiana...LOL
