I went to my brother's place last Saturday to fish and rest. The neighbor that plants around 200 acres on 1.5 sides of the farm planted mostly soybeans and about a 50 acres of corn right in the corner of his and my brother's place. This should help my #1 stand big time and the blind location. I still want to move one stand just a few yards to a healthier tree. Not many good ones to choice from. Area is super thick with briers and Osage orange trees. Ruff-poor ground area.

This seems to be one of the greenest summers in years. I don't think there has been a week without one day of rain. If it stays wet a few more weeks the fall nectar and pollen flow will be good for beekeepers.

Even though most people around me have been getting rain, it's still not enough (for me) here. Yes things are green and growing, but it isn't nowhere enough to replenish the groundwater supply that we lost last year. My pond is a groundwater pond and while it has come up from the level it was this winter (7 feet low measured vertically) the pond is still close to 48" low (vertical measurement). I have weeds that are 3 feet tall growing on land that was once underwater.
The house in Plymouth typically has the foundation drains running into the sump pit. That hasn't happened at all since the rains shut off in June 2020.
