Seen a doe in a field on my drive home from work yesterday and it brought back the memories of last season. Still really set in fishing, but yesterday kindled the fire for deer season.

Just back from vaca so playing catchup. Did get cameras back out this morning and got some clover plots sprayed for grass last night. Headed to pick up my fall plot seed and little more mineral this evening and plan on spraying GLY on plots planned for fall this weekend. Look to get them seeded around mid July if rainfall is forecasted. Bucks are really blowing up last couple weeks and have 4 I think will be 160's minimum. Will post some pics shortly. Season will be here b4 we know it

I only have a couple bucks on camera so far, with the biggest looking like he might be 2 years old. I'm not concerned though, last year most of the bucks showed up in the fall. Lots of does and fawns hanging around.
Last week, I moved 2 stands that didn't see much action last year. I have two of my three new stands assembled, I need to get those put up and do some trimming for shooting lanes.
The big project has been clearing a spot for a future food plot. It's in an old grown-up field. I have about 1/2 acre clear, it will eventually be a 2 acre plot in the shape of a bent barbell. I'm doing it all by hand, so slow going, and only on cool days.

Not yet but Counting down the days till my Prarie dog shoot. I went once. Had more fun seeing how far I could stretch the .22lr than I did with the .223. That would be me. I lived way out in the middle of nowhere for awhile and spent quite a few .22 shells plinking an old fence post over 100 yards away instead of the target I had set up in the yard.

Pulled cam cards after 2 days and speechless. Several developed bucks with one already over 100" main farm 5×6 with some kickers. Not seen one this big , this early in all my days. Sent Woody plc not sure how to post to this šité. Gonna be a special buck. Here you go Mike! Lot of bone this early! Sent Woody some updated pics. He is blowing up adding tine length and NT points. No doubt gonna be north 170" I expect him to start packing on mass and little more tine length.

Starting to get some good pics, with the cool evenings. Been glassing some slammers on my property. Good looking bucks. Don't know why but seems to be more quality bucks this year. Am looking at 6 just at my house that are all between 140 -170's and have not had cameras out on neighboring lease yat or on northern end farm. 2021 maybe one for record books .

Woods I’ll be hunting in October I haven’t put a camera in and won’t till I set up my climber. Hopefully the deer will be there this year, corn all around the woods should help.

Spraying this week with GLY for my fall plots. (approx 3.5 acres spread out across farm). Brassicas, winter peas, forage oats and some cereal rye. Bucks will be packing on last inches of bone over next 3-4 weeks and season will be here before you know it.
