Now 3 Toms with at least one hen. 150 yards out but want nothing to do with leaving her.

Settled in. Woodmaster dropped me off but after he did I remembered I left my shells in my gun case in my truck. I texted him and he came back and gave me one of his three shells. He has two and I have one. Got to make it count! Not a good start....😩 No gobbling yet, Good luck all! I've done similar, went bow hunting but didn't have my quiver in the truck. Went gun hunting but left the bullets in the truck.....Hope you remembered the Tom Toter, I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.

Hearing gobbling to my left. Maybe 100 yards out? Hopefully he's headed this way.

I had 3 birds gobbling this morning. One had cut me off twice before fly down. They ultimately flew down and went away from me. I had some ice pellets then light rain fall for about 10 minutes. Resulted in a nice rainbow. Just afterwards, a couple deer came by to say hello.

Gobbling on the adjacent property. I think 2 birds, maybe 100 yards away. Sitting in a blind waiting them out.

Nice bird Swilk.
Note to self: next year get a real blind and set it up on the opposite side of the field so I'm not staring into the sun.
Heard lots of gobbling but nothing close so far. I have been calling some. A few minutes ago something slowly crept up behind me and then backed out. It had some size to it from the sound. I didn't turn around to see what it was. I'd guess it got within 15 yards from my ground blind.

Woodmaster has two gobblers and a half dozen hens in his field about 200 yards away.

I had a bearded hen come in and check out the decoys. She hung around for quite awhile.
Soon after she left two Jakes came running in. They ran up to the decoys and circled the Jake decoy. They never attacked it though .

Went behind my house for the first time. First Turkey season that Ive lived here. Was back in my garage with a 23 lb. bird by 6:15. Shortest turkey season ever!
