No dice today!! Thankful and blessed to have been a part of my son harvesting his first turkey which in turn..made it a very successful season!! Congratulations to all of our successful members here and their families!! I think you put it all into perspective there! I agree! That made for an awesome season for you and him!

In my opinion, successful hunts lay in the adventures had. Not the tags filled. I truly hope everyone had a successful season and made some great memories!

Like to say congratulations to my son. Idk if he is on here much anymore. But he killed a very nice bird today about noon or a little after. Taking it down to the wire. 23 pounds 11 beard 1 1/2 and a 1 5/8 spurs.

I messed up a good opportunity to kill a really good bird, but, I had a great time, learned a little and hate to see the season end. Congratulations not only to the hunters who killed birds, but to all of us that got to go hunting.

I had a great time reading everyone's post and about their time afield! Hats off to those who were blessed to harvest a bird. And for those who didn't, I hope you learned much, had fun and walked away motivated to put your new found knowledge to work next season!

This was a fun, but frustrating season. Came close twice but that’s the way it goes. Just always glad to spend the time in the woods with my son. He hunted more this turkey season then all the past turkey seasons combined. Thought he was gonna kill the Saturday of youth season, but that turkey tucked feather and took off after closing the distance from a couple hundred yards to about 30 yards. Never actually saw him but his last gobble about blew my hat off. He either picked off my son or didn’t like the jake decoy. I still blame myself for the way I set my son up. Live and learn I guess. Still consider this season a success and a learning experience all the same. Now time to scout for deer and look forward to October.
