Anybody going? I didn't go last year. Every time I go, I swear I won't be back, but I usually end up going!

Here is the link... indianadeerandturkeyexpo.com/Thursday or Friday is the best time to go less of a crowd! The latest Hoosier Record Book will be on sale also at Deer display.

I signed up to work the Hunter Ed booth Thursday morning. Figured it would be the best day for me with less people at the booth and a smaller crowd to navigate once I'm done.

Me and a buddy are going Saturday the 22. We only go for the Deer and Turkey Expo. If I hear correctly, everyone has to pass through a metal detector now?

Probably. I had to walk all the way back to the car and leave my pocket knife in the car at a hockey game. Even just a knife? That`s unacceptable. Went to the cyclones game and had my Knife in my pocket. I took it out and put it in the metal detector box and security just about had a cow. Treated as a criminal. How dare I bring a pocket knife to a game.?!?! Had to walk all the way back to my car as well they told me just to leave it out front in the flower bed. It was my good Spyderco in no way was I leaving it out front.

I was already peeved that I`ll have to leave the Glock at home, but my EDC knife too? I`m going to have to talk to my buddy and rethink even going at all.

Took my wife kid and grandma to see the Lion King in Cincinnati. They had a metal detector at each door there. This time I was smart enough to leave my knife in car so I didn’t have to walk all the way back again. It’s really starting to get ridiculous.

It`s bad enough to have to be disarmed, but when even an EDC pocket knife is banned, it`s over the top. I need to look into some way to let the vendors at the shows know why we personally won`t be going. I doubt it, but maybe some pressure from the vendors would make the fairgrounds at least a little more reasonable.

Banning knives at this show would be counterproductive since you can buy them at the show.

I seen the above last night.... those are the state fair rules when the state fair is open.
They have the Indy 1500 gun show there so the no gun policy isn’t true.
I would call renfro and ask them if someone is concerned!
Been couple years since I been to Deer&Turkey show but I have NEVER seen a metal detector or a pat down in place.

The Ford Center in Evansville, IN won't allow any guns inside. They have metal detectors at the entrance. So I won't ever attend any events at the Ford Center. I would not attend the show in INDY either if they don't allow me to carry my gun into the event.
