I equate it to like going to one of the large gun shows.....unless you are specifically looking to buy something....it's just an over-sized and crowded exercise in window shopping. I am not a fan of crowds...or just looking to be looking. I went a few times before, don't see a need to return.

In the door (exhibitor entrance) with no issues. We are set up by the D&TE entrance and I didn't see anything that looked like a metal detector.

One guy I think was an exhibitor but he had a single six in a leather crossbody holster with ammo on the sling. Not everybody who thinks they carry concealed actually accomplish it. I took the pocket gun so I didn't have to worry about brushing anybody while running the laser tag hunting booth.

Are show attendees having to go through a metal detector to enter? No And never has been one in the past.... I sorta figured someone was miss-informed that’s why I wanted a real update!

I went once. Seeing all the trophy deer mounts was cool and there were a few good speakers, but I didn't get too much out of it.
I am in the market for a few things right now though, but I really don't want to contend with the Saturday crowd so it's probably a no for me.

My buddy and I are still on for tomorrow, but it may be the last one I attend due to their ridiculous gun and knife bans. Generally, unless I`m in the shower or at work, I`m armed and I don`t even like not being armed those two places.

Forgot to mention that Camping World had a bunch of stuff from the closed Gander Outdoors store amongst their campers for 80% off.

My son and I went, Thurs. for about 3 hrs. No metal detectors, and when you showed your hunting license, you got $4 off the ticket price. We weren't looking for anything special, other than maybe a Texas hog hunt, for next late Feb. Didn't find one that suited us, but we had a good time. If you're just walking around, looking, you will have pretty well seen everything in a 1 1/2 hrs. or so.

No metal detectors, and so, I could have carried both my EDC knife as well as my Glock 42 as I did 2 years ago. Oh well.

Went today and had a great time. Not like it used to be but still a good show to shrug off some winter blues. I will have to say that prices on boats and trucks has left me behind. When you see a fully decked out bass boat pulled by a top end truck cruising down the road that is a $150,000 and up rig all together!
