My problem is, I am a 2nd shifter, and not a morning person, so getting up early is not my favorite. Need it to cool off a little before we get serious too.

Gonna try for some in the morning. I took a half night at work, and supposed to be pretty cool for once, 40's in the am in the NW corner.

4 more for Team 6. First two were cutting on a pecan. Saw 9 more and all were on the move; no cutting. Only 2 of those stopped long enough for a head shot. Could have been done in half an hour if I had been toting a shotgun! Personal count is 19 for the season.

Add 5 more for Team 6. Went to one of the few private places I have to squirrel hunt this morning. May have to make an exception to the rule and hunt this woods again this year. It is crawling with squirrels! One moved as I was executing the squeeze and I hit it centered between the shoulders as it was climbing up. That may not be as bad as I am expecting with the skinning. Rest were head shots again. Two fox squirrels this morning are the first ones this year. Brings my personal count to 24.

Score 1 more for Team 6. This was definitely one hard earned squirrel. Ranged at 37 yards. Drilled right behind the eye with the CZ 452 Mannlicher. Of course it dropped like a rock, but I'll be danged if I didn't have a dilly of a time finding the crazy thing in all the multi flora:
