Dang it man. Get well soon! X rays and MRI came back, showing only a hairline fracture, and some soft tissue damage. Good news is that only need to wear boot 3-5 days, and to take it easy for couple weeks. Much better news than original prognosis. I knew you wouldn't be down long. "Hard to keep a good man down". That's good news!

At 61, I was oldest player, I got tangled up with another kids foot. On a positive note , we raised $10,000 for family of a former player who passed from liver cancer @ 50. Super good guy. Have decided , no more basketball..... lol

My 4 persimmon trees are supposed to come on Monday. I dug the holes and got the cages ready last night. Much easier digging than it was for the chestnuts a few weeks ago!
I ordered a few more persimmon trees, chestnuts, and some nutall oaks today, to be shipped next spring.

Also got the crossbow out and tinkered with it a bit. I’m using different bolts this year, so I had to make some tweaks to the scope.
We’re going out of town this weekend, I might start hunting next week if the weather cooperates.

If you want a bunch of persimmon trees you can get them from state. I have had good luck with them. If your wanting a few i have used Stark Brothers. They have one year replacement

I finally got found time to mow our trails. My old riding mower crossed the rusty iron bridge to the great beyond. It took a lot of abuse mowing through the woods over the years. We got this pull behind mower running and used it for the first time. It was given to us for free since it wouldn’t start. It worked pretty good besides a few issues with uneven ground. I've got a couple large ash trees down blocking trails. I still need to clear those and finish mowing.

We cleared 5 or 6 ash trees off the trails this evening. One was really big. They are all cleared and mostly mowed. I need to check a few stands and move 1. Then I think I'll be ready to hunt.
I saw an absolute stud of a buck this morning driving to work. It had a wall of typical points. I feel very confident saying it was at least a typical 12. I've killed one of those and this buck looked to have more points on each side than mine. It trotted in front of me on a back road. I got a good look at it.
