Well they will respond to a call but are not coming in; this is getting to be a pattern. Hopefully they'll come in a bit later on. Still gobbling. Have to be out of here by 10:00

2 strutters and 4 hens 100 yards out Start using different calls, if you have been calling sparingly get more agressive or vic versa. Throw everything in the book at them until you get a response. Cluck, cackle, purr, excited yelps, you have nothing to lose. Keep it up until you find something that works. I always carry at least 3 different calls that have a slightly different pitch, sound like a whole flock. If you get a hen to answer back, mimmick her, if she clucks twice you cluck 3 times, cut her off. If you can get the boss hen ticked off you will soon be shooting that tom. Good luck!!

Got my bird at 7:20. He came out into the field strutting. First bird I've ever shot in strut.

Gonna take a stroll around the property but I do not believe the gobblers are around here this morning.

Someone on the neighboring property shot a little while ago. Too far away to see what was going on; over on next Ridge. Have not heard or seen anything since.

Debating on decoy setup for tomorrow. I have an upright hen, feeder hen and a Tom. Can't decide if I want to go single hen, both hens or all 3. Last time I had a Tom hang up on the 2 hens. I'm a duck hunter. Lol More the better. I never use just hen decoy alone. I have had to many birds hang up on them. I use a single jake, a single tom, or a jake and hen, or a Tom and hen. Good luck either way. 1/4 strut Avian X Jake and an Avian X feeder hen works for me..

Had 3 gobbling shut up about 7am wouldn't budge. Tough woods hunting now and they aren't coming to fields. At least found some all in same big block of timber

Birds crossed too far out (probably not but, didn't feel comfortable with the shot). I crawled under a fence (gotta lay off the cheeseburgers) and made a mad dash around the woods (more confirmation that I need to lay off the cheeseburgers) and to the pond/hay field where I think they're heading. I may be wrong but, still having fun running (more of a waddle) and gunning.

I have a hen sitting at 10 yards from me under a cedar tree purring like crazy. It’s rainy in Switzerland county. Lots of action so far today. It’s cool having a live decoy

Well, so far this years turkey hunts have been suckin wind! Again...not a gobble to be heard from the hunting ground this morning! Parke county fellas. Ought to be chock full of turkey round my parts! I was successful in drawing three bucks to my decoys. Here's one of em at about 25 yards:
