Oh fellas, I was almost gone. Thanks for all your prayers!
I had the "widow maker". Of course, all I knew was that I was in an incredible amount of pain, and begging God to put me out of my misery. I thought, "Surely, I'll pass out soon???"
I quickly became the talk of the hospital. Apparently, they don't see many walk out after the way I came in. One guy told me that in his 17 years that I was one of three that he'd seen walk out.
They hit me with the paddles 7 times; I remember the first two. All I remember is a huge jolt, screaming out in pain as I was coming off the table. I was out both times before my body touched back on the table. I don't care to experience this again.
They tell me that I have significant damage to the bottom 2/3 of the left side of my heart. Only time will tell how I will recover.
I am home now, and must wear a life-vest for at least the first 3 months. It's a defibrillator that I wear all the time unless I'm in the water.
Thanks again guys!
Oh Woody, I expected you home way before me. I'll keep praying!
