You gotta hand it to Michael for trying to pull it off with a bow in Indiana, least he isn't shoveling his money to Illinois. Out of all the celebs he would get an invite from me if I were a fat cat with a bunch of ground, seems really down to earth.

I'm glad to see an Indiana monster like that getting publicized, we always hear about Illinois.

Maybe he should go and hunt in Owen Co. or whatever county....Marion?.....Indy is from.....
Maybe the "Road Trips" show will specifically point out where he shot the deer......maybe that will give the publicity that you want to the area that YOU hunt......
Maybe there will be so much publicity that others will see it and say, "hey I want to hunt where he hunts since there are some big bucks in that area."......and maybe, just maybe those guys will be big lease hunters.
Indiana has some big bucks, but I would hate to see Indiana become the next lease hunting victim.
I personally know the Collins brothers....heck they live real close to me.....that property is only 2 miles from where I am sitting.....I used to run the archery shop that they hung out in.....I've met many of Al's big name celeb friends.....like I said, I like them both (not how the majority of people around here feel).....yada yada yada.....but this is something that I definitely do not want to see happen in my, or your hunting area. If the publicity wasn't so great......then fine.....but that is not the case.

I've actually seen their property and it is awsome! I have buddy that is good friends of their's and he his hunting on his property today just down the road. Al shot a nice wide buck this year, but not as nice as Waddell's. I think Wadell left Tuesday to head to Illinois. I'm betting Wadell didn't have to pay for that buck. Just an out of state license. By the way this is the second year he has shot a buck in northern Indiana, and he camera man shot one as well this year. I'm sure they will be back next year. It is usually Wadell, Scott Schultz (Robin's Outdoors), and a couple other guys.

Agreed....he didn't have to pay for it.
Scott Schultz (Robinson Laboratories) is probably the nicest guy I have ever met. Al is part owner of one of his companies.....Scent Shield, or (I think it is this one) Scent Blocker.

I'm glad to see an Indiana monster like that getting publicized, we always hear about Illinois. I'm not! Look at IL leasing prices, which is how this state will become. If you're thinking "well, I hunt private ground", don't think an outfitter won't come in and lease up all of your private ground because it does, and will happen. Farmers have to make every penny they can off of the ground they own, and a big dollar lease puts a lot of bacon in the skillet!

To me, I'm not so sure that buck looks 170's. It's got some thick bases for sure.
I remember seeing his hunt there last time on Road Trips and it looks like a fantastic piece of ground. Congratulations to the Collins guys for being able to aquire such a place
I agree though, I would NOT want that publicity for my hunting area!

Yep ..... another marshall county buck for Waddell. I'm sure the Collins boys put him up and let him hunt for free, just to have him around. You bet that will appear in one of his films. Waddell, both Collins and Schultz all killed nice bucks, just saw photos of them.
Those boys have bought up a bunch of land and set it up real nice for deer hunting. Same thing anyone else could do, if they could swing it.

You can bet that Michael hunted free of charge. They might have even paid his expense and it WILL be on TV..

Hmmm, so promoting hunting is apparently a bad thing... my kids love Mike and t-bone, I don't see anything wrong with promoting hunting. I'd love to see them hunt the area I hunt, maybe they can find the deer that I can't.
