I had a blast! Thanks again to Woody and everyone else who played a direct role in making this successful event happen. I say we do it again next year! You all are great people, and by far the greatest group of misfits I've ever had the pleasure to "hang out" with... ;D Now excuse me while I quell the raging fire on the backs of my legs and knees with any kind of sunburn cream I can ravenously get my hands on...

A few of us noticed the back of your legs were gettimg rather colorful, bummer. It was a good day. I enjoyed playing with several of the toys. The range is nice as well, although it's a little lound with all that baffling. You might ask doc how she liked the 7 Waters.

Was that the little gun that Singleshooter's wife apparently shoots that emits a large fireball, throws itself back in your hands, and goes... ... ... [glow=red,2,300]...BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! [/glow]It caught me "off guard" a little! (And I know Singleshooter, dbd, and Mbogo will not let me live that down! ) Travis and everyone else--In all sincerity, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would do it millions of times over again. I have to take my hat off to you for your awesome pictures (even if I am smiling cheesily in them!) and all your fabulous entertaining comments! I would take sunburnt legs many times over to hang out with y'all. Everyone--you're the greatest! Thanks for helping me "shoot" something besides my dad's BB gun for the first time! ;D

Yeah, your legs were getting a little toasty there Greyhound! Pleasure to meet you there, I have to take my hat off to any lady that would put up with us all day! What an awesome time.... I'm so happy that this thing came off, and was a huge sucess! We had an absolute BLAST @ Atterbury. I never did a head count.....I'm guessing 25 people were there at one time or another. Good food, great times, great friendships...... and nobody was arrested!!!!! I'm too pooped to go into details, I'll let others fill in the blanks. Here are just a few pics...between Matt and myself I am sure we took a few hundred. The 2nd annual will HAVE to happen. If you missed this, you wont want to miss it again!!!!! And yes, if you were NOT there, we talked about you. . . . . surely not! I am betting you were having way too much fun to be spreading rumors about those of us who had to work. Sure looks like it anyway.

Wish I would have made it over there, work on it for next year. 410's skeet score looks like he could improve a tad! Someone needed to kick you in the pants when you pulled your head right? Just kidding looks like a great time.

i got home about 15 minutes ago and I'm still wondering how i came home with more food than i took.... It was a great time and i enjoyed meeting all of you. Most of the people looked like i suspected except one or two. The heat about done me in today. I sure was glad to get on the road with the A/C on high. The next time we need to do this either earlier or later in the year when its not so hot. Thanks to all of you who came and hope we all can meet again. h.h. PS, i tried to trick Dr greyhound into shooting the .454 Casull but she was on to me. lol

[glow=red,2,300]WOW!![/glow]
What a day!
I say this in all sincerity - it was a pleasure meeting each and every one of you.
Duff,
Part of Art's problem was the exceedingly loud Honk! Honk ! Honk! emitting from the hecklers blowing goose calls, especially Matt. He can flat get on it. Of course turn about was fair play and he got even.
The skeet scores are decieving in that some of us had never shot it before. Fast little boogers, them skeets.
This WILL be an annual function..
Now, a bite to eat, a hot shower and to bed.

Looks like it was a good time..... I wish I could have made it..... but with a new baby and the in-laws in town I think Mrs. Sleazy would hvae been less than amused if I suggested that i spend a day hanging out with ya'll instead of slaving over a hot stove to feed her family while carrying a baby on my hip and a 4 year old riding my foot..... guess we know who is in charge around here .

It was an awesome day getting out there and meeting everyone and putting faces to everybody. You can't go wrong with a bunch of guys (and girls), outdoors, with deer meat and guns.... That's a heck of a combination.

Well the .410 is all cleaned and ready to go again. How bout we all do this again tomorrow? Duff, you don't want to ask about the trap shoot, I HATE that game. Now for the dropped bids on the skeet field, who pulled those birds before I called anyway? I did have a great time and enjoyed meeting all of you and am looking forward to next time. Hey Matt we'll have to work on that shoot using the layout blinds, it would be great practice. Woody, how do you like your new lanyard and all them calls, you made a heck of a buy there. ;D One last thing who made them hot wings again? I'd like to put my order in for a dozen every Friday night.

Had fun meeting you all...especially that li'l darlin' greyhound...who I told could return any time...and could even bring that big lug of hers along if she absolutely had to.
Loved the chance to get out with other guys who are sincerely hunters, and not just animal shooters who call themselves hunters. Hope to see you guys again soon.
And whatever you do Woody, please remember that the big machinegun shoots are in the second week of April and October every year, so don't double book me!! (unless, of course, ya really don't want me to be there....I know y'all were worried that the ATF would get called on us)
Next time....y'all need to shoot more!!! I had well over 4,000 rounds of ammo for the weapons and I don't think we went thru 200 total!!! Y'all need to be a li'l more willing to burn up free ammo!! Li'l ol'greyhound didn't seem to have any issue shooting....until she got hold of the wife's deer pistol anyway. Wish we had gotten a video of that big fireball and the utter shock on her face. By the way...the guy made me clean the wet spot off the bench.....

Definately a good time nice meeting all of you. There was even one big surprise, but we will let you all figure that out on your own. You can find out at next years event. Matt and Travis with mbogo in the background Lots of food Art, Woody and JKD trying to stack the teams for the skeet and trap shoot. Huxbux and Turkey Scout telling dgreyhound how good looking they think they are. Art and the Mrs who i must say is a darn good wife she stayed all day and put up with Arts crap, His grandaughter is also pictured. Chico Hornharvester db870 and Travis enjoying lunch. HH and db were just happy there was food left after Travis and Chico went through the line.

OK, after a good nap after yesterday, I'm back grinding away for the AM newscast.......but my heart is still @ Atterbury! What an awesome time! Hotter than heck......which drained all of us after 3-4 hours but hey, nothing in life is free. Singleshooter, make sure you save that ammo for next time. I would have loved to fire a few pieces of the armory that you brought, but that range is NO PLACE for simple 'stuff in your ear' ear-protection. You need hard core muffs for that range......MAN is it loud on the line!!! I wouldn't advise going there with anything less than full muffs. By the way Singleshooter, there were a few guys with ATF jackets on that were looking for you, but John and I pointed them the opposite direction....not sure what that all was about, something to do with you having more firepower and ammo than the entire military installation @ Camp Atterbury??? You folks will be happy to know that the $4 million that was spent on the Atterbury range was not wasted. The place is top-shelf from every aspect. (although they do need to have refreshments available other than a broken-down soda-machine) The skeet-trap range had some bad 'birds that made the shooting a little frustrating at times, but that wasn't the fault of the facility. It's just a beautiful facility, very friendly instructors and a great place to go spend the afternoon. My only advice for them is to drop a little more $$$, and move the archery range into that complex and bring it up to the level of quality they have put into the firearms portions. It also would be nice if they had a few shelter houses scattered around the immediate vicinity of the shooting-complex. A beautiful place though.....and money well spent IMO. Now that roughly 16 hours has passed since we ate, I'm just simply happy nobody was rushed to the hospital for food poisoning or that we didn't have any issues with salmonella!!! BTW, I can't remember who brought the deer sausage but dang it was good!!!! All the grub was good!!! Woody did a heck of a job in Parson's absence giving a nice blessing, in which he took the liberty of asking forgiveness for all the lies each of us was about to tell over the course of the day. We need all the divine help we can get Woody.....so thanks! I've taken the liberty of contacting all appropriate governing bodies to protest all scores for trap and skeet issued by Shootsa410. I've obtained photographic evidence, as well as witness statements that will back up my assertion that Mr. Spancake CHEATED on numerous occasions while participating in the shooting competitions yesterday. He was seen with illegal loads, switching guns mid-round, coercing drgreyhound into changing his score sheets, interfering with other participants shooting with the aid of goose and duck calls.... There are other infractions that will be mentioned at the hearing.... Oh, and for the record..... Matt and Hornharvester should not be allowed to participate in any future Hunting-Indiana shooting events. I saw them each towing away vehicles that they had won in side-bet wagering throughout the day. Oh, before I forget..... this website will NOT be held accountable for the damage that Chico did to the port-o-potty! All I know is he had blue-dye all over him as he swaggered back from a visit.......I'm sure something broke in there and we, as a group, should not be responsible!!! Deertracks......... all I can say for you is The memories......or nightmares from yesterday will be enough to keep doc-greyhound in business for a very long time!!!!!!!!!
