We are in the new blind. Had some day time movement on cams a couple days ago we will see if they just switched up trails. Oldest boys turn for a deer...
Good luck to everyone that is out today!

There's an old blind just like that in an area I hunt sometimes. I've sat in it a couple of times but never killed anything out of it. They log that section of forest. And as you can see randomly cut down trees and leave them lay. I have the guy on trail cam that I had right by the blind to see if anything uses the trail I use to walk in. He gave me a thumbs up in the picture. Problem is he cut several trees and two fell by the blind cutting me off from being able to go down the hill. I had to clean it up just added most of it to the walls of the blind. Here is a picture from the back side of it. I took Jace back to hunt turkeys a few springs ago. I missed one that season from the blind actually. Called him in and he stayed right at 40 yds would not come any closer. I took the shot went over his head.

I love the blind reminds me of my youth I've taken 5 deer from that blind. Has a old giant gnarly oak 30 yds away. I'm thinking white oak. It will be a very sad day when it does fall.

Went and did an afternoon sit back in the natural blind. Didn't see anything moving back there. Jumped 2 on the hike out.

As much as I don't like passing up a lone fat doe, I do like having a live decoy. We'll see... Boy, she is thick! That should have a monster buck coming to her sooner or later. Lol

Seen a doe with two yearlings today came to about 6 yds. I passed on them. Figured my cousin had shot a deer a half hour before. Turns out wasn't him that took a shot. Missed out filling that 3rd tag . But I have most of this week off. May be able to get my oldest son out and get him on his first deer. Seen some rubs had been tended to through this last week maybe he can get on that buck. After 2 seasons I myself will get to hunt with the .350 legend finally. My nephew and my cousin had been hunting with it everytime i went out. I only have one BRI sabot left for the shotgun I'll have to dial in with a different sabot for my iron sights this coming year.

So they are prompted questions. It'll ask private or public- public. Then asks county- then asks the public property- then asks to mark it. And they show a map. They claim the mark represents so many miles ( i think to myself: so no one is stealing someone else's spot... on public...) lol

I wonder if the questions are prompted by answers. Does private ask you to designate a 4x4 square mile or somekind measurement of exact location deer was killed or is it only for the public hunters?

Yes it asks which property then asks for a 4x4 mile mark on a map or something to that size.

I'm calling it a 9. But I'm sure some will say "Mark it an 8 dude". I'll let woody make the official call. He broke his brow tine and G2? Or G3? I don't remember what minimum length is for point but he has a start of one. Officially my 2nd buck in 23 years of hunting OPSF. He started sneaking up out of a ravine after the guns started going off on the private property he was going away from the gunfire and found mine. Team 12.
