Anyone know if they are doing the fridge magnet for the harvest and survey completion this year? Looking to add magnet number 4 to the fridge! Still don't know what to do with the metal tag I got last year either any ideas??

Seen a doe in a field on my drive home from work yesterday and it brought back the memories of last season. Still really set in fishing, but yesterday kindled the fire for deer season.

It was a bust this am. I made like a tree, everything else did too. Wind was crazy I'd say at least steady 12 with 15-16 mph gusts of course it died way down by time I got back to the truck at noon. Checked a cam and then moved it to a scrape that seems to keep getting hit, put my second cam back up on my ridge just to see what comes by when I am not there. I Won't be going out tomorrow, Will be crossbow if I do get back out.

Seen some moving in the bottoms this am headed south but then crossed over to my side and was coming up the hill kept waiting theylle either cut north towards me or cut farther south... they never came north though. Backed out went to the south end using the logging road went to check my trail cam by the little pond and nothing on it for two weeks except a couple pictures of me leaving and returning and some squirrel going up and down his tree. Pretty disappointed of no pics in 2 weeks. They must be using a different trail now so I moved it further south to try and find their route they would have used today. Picked a tree to sit by next week to add in the game plan if I go way back in there again.

Nothing so far, heard 3 shots none close an different directions. Some nice have made a castle of my natural blind. Watching these buggers scurry across logs and actually falling to the next branch below. I don't think they like their new roommate the jolly green giant lol.

Will be hitting the woods tomorrow. Looking forward to checking cams and hopefully my nephew can get on one, so I can try and fill my tags. Maybe I'll be able to talk him into hunting until dark...
Good luck all will check in once we get into the blind or a different spot.

I work for a inspection and containment contractor company in the automotive field. Primarily at suppliers. I myself am currently at Allison's leading our onsite quality team. I've been with this company for 8 years, I worked up to the supervisor role but I work alongside my team just to lead by example. My team will forever change as it's only entry level base pay. I've been to 36 manufacturers from Seymour to Frankfort and have seen many manufacturing processes. My favorite is die cast aluminum. Anyways It's been 4 years since I've had a raise. I think it's time I move on soon... Where did you cover aluminum die casting? I worked 8.5 years at the GM foundry in Bedford. Recently left but it was a great place. Mainly Ryobi die casting in Shelbyville. They had me working as a contract Quality engineer RDC rep down at Metal Tech in Bloomfield for a couple years until Covid panic. I know they had several guys working for them that had come from GM. Now I am doing Walker die cast at Allison transmission but Allison's recently bought Walker DC. It's out of Tennessee though.

Bow season my area held deer. Gun season not so much it was like they disappeared. They ate all the acorns from my wicked oak tree pretty quick. Now they seem to be rolling back in my area.

I am tempted to. When I was younger my uncles and grandfather would take me hunting and I didn't have much of quality anything to keep me warm. I loved hunting and didn't want to jeopardize my invites so I always dang near froze. Now I have under armour base layers and "midseason" sherpa lined bibs and coat and 600g primaloft boots with heavy wool socks. I have a secondary set of base layers for temps low 30°s Always have hand warmers and today I used a body warmer on my lower back by my kidneys. My problem is I will wear everything but the coat to the stand but it's far back into the SF and up and down and around hills. I break a sweat to make the walk in just 15 minutes. It takes me 30 minutes if I go slow but the hills get me everytime. I think the body suit would help if it's reasonably packable. If not me then my nephew and my son's future hunting careers...

First shot this am was 8:09 AM. No bucks seen today that I know of. Busted a group on the way back to my truck. Had a 75-80 yd shot on one of the big does I had the crosshairs on her but I never shot that far I am on at 50yds though. Wife had me on a time limit for Christmas decorating and getting a tree. I was past the time limit already... Had 3 does walking down the fire trail while I was in my blind. Two yearlings and one was definitely a fawn but no spots. It was tiny! I passed on them about 30 minutes later heard a shot. I hope it wasn't any of them...

Good morning all, out in the natural blind to start the week off. Had a 6pt come through at 8 hoping he comes back through with a better shot for the nephew. We did have him qaurtering away at 65 yds downhill between trees but I said its too tough a shot for him. Patience will play off here.
