I love the blind reminds me of my youth I've taken 5 deer from that blind. Has a old giant gnarly oak 30 yds away. I'm thinking white oak. It will be a very sad day when it does fall.

There's an old blind just like that in an area I hunt sometimes. I've sat in it a couple of times but never killed anything out of it.

Awesome! Nothing better than a kid experiencing the outdoors, and some success just sweetens the deal even more. Congrats!!!

There's an old blind just like that in an area I hunt sometimes. I've sat in it a couple of times but never killed anything out of it. They log that section of forest. And as you can see randomly cut down trees and leave them lay. I have the guy on trail cam that I had right by the blind to see if anything uses the trail I use to walk in. He gave me a thumbs up in the picture. Problem is he cut several trees and two fell by the blind cutting me off from being able to go down the hill. I had to clean it up just added most of it to the walls of the blind. Here is a picture from the back side of it. I took Jace back to hunt turkeys a few springs ago. I missed one that season from the blind actually. Called him in and he stayed right at 40 yds would not come any closer. I took the shot went over his head.
