swilk whatever happened to elanor?? I have yet to see him...I don't really run cameras (other than a plotwatcher) so unless I actually lay eyes on him I won't know. It was this week last year I first saw him. My buddy who hunts with me says he saw the biggest typical 10 pointer he has ever seen in 35 years of hunting last week but it wasn't as wide as Eleanor was last year so I'm guessing it's not him. really hope u get him or an even better 1 brother im sure youll get a stud no matter what u always do

Rain is supposed to taper off over night...and I plan on being in a tree in the morning (vacation day)!!! I love hunting right before or right after a good storm or some prolonged bad weather... Toss in that the deer are starting to get a little frisky and it's almost like being as excited as a kid on X-mas eve! vacation day 4 me also brother! Good luck!

A good friend of mine, Scott Stanberry from Illinois, killed a very nice buck with a primitive osage bow and a stone arrow head that he made. He self filmed the hunt and got some great footage. absolutely awesome!!!

Facebook keeps telling me that the rut is in full swing.. It sure didn't seem that way last night. Saw a few small bucks milling around but nothing else. But, but, but.. if it is in FaceBook it MUST be true.. Me thinks we have a lot of fairly new deer hunters that think a few bucks (mostly little ones) chasing is the RUT IS ON!! hit the nail om the head woody. From what im seeing wjere im at itll be arpund next weekend i believe just my opinion but i really think that from Halloween till bout the 11th its gonna get hot n heavy.
