Not live, but a story from this morning: I got out to my "mini stand" about 5 feet off the ground, was setting for about 30 minutes or so, and had a fawn the size of a dog walk within 10 feet. The thing never knew I was there! I know they say to get what you can for your first deer, but I wasn't up for taking a fawn. I'll try again next week when it cools back down! I hope your rewarded for not shooting the fawn. Alot of others including myself would have shot that fawn for there first!

Love to hunt fish and be outdoors have learned from my dad and grandfather. Hunt mostly public ground with what I would consider to be good success. Glad to join and be a part of and hopefully will continue to learn from you guys and make some hunting buddies. welcome enjoy the stories and best of luck to you.

oh I'd believe you span! I have heard some wild stories about guys and friends kickingvup some giants in the weirdest places.... Especially on public land I bet you have seen some brutes! I dream of killing a nice 120 or 130 inch deer let alone a 170! Maybe 1 day ill be blessed with an opportunity to harvest a good 1. I just know where I hunt now good bucks are few and far between. Heck I might only see 1 or 2 bucks a year period. But if I ever do get a monster it'll make it that much sweeter.... Where you live at? Hunt at? Might be able to help you. I live in kokomo hunt a few private woods in Howard county. And hunt mississinewa public land. What public land are you running your dogs in?

I'd definitely be changing a stand a 170" is a buck of a lifetime. Let alone on public ground. That's like a 300" deer anywhere else! I gave that silliness up a couple of years ago. Trophy hunting ruined it for me. I live through the stories guys on here tell. Won't lie. Gives me an itch when ever I see a big one while I'm out running dogs. You'd never believe some of the deer I see, mostly on public land, and in the most unlikely places. Of course they didn't grow that big from hanging out where guys are hunting. oh I'd believe you span! I shoot a nice buck tonight and ran onto the neighbors property. They have it posted like crazy and don't want to follow blood trail onto their property without permission. I'm Letting it sit over night a little worried about the shot. I went to other neighbors and asked if they had contact info and they didnT seem to have his number. If anyone knows the guy can you give me his number or have him contact me? I don't know what else to do scared to go look without permission. Property is in vanderburgh county off kuebler road. 100 acres (used to be wallaces woods) believe the last name of new owner is nunning They have stands on property line so I know they hunt hopefully they or someone who knows them is on here to help me! I certainly hope with them being hunters or at least letting someone hunt it that they'll let you get your deer! Keeping my fingers crossed for you....

Went to the food plot to get my ATV for the Brownsville hunt and saw they were cutting beans. I had a dream that a bear was trying to get one of my bucks. The bear also had antlers. I was able to get the antlers off of him, and then we became friends ...I'm taking this as a good sign. almost sounds like something out of Revelations Dennis!

Just got settled in. there harvesting the fields all around me. Kind of pumped up. Even if I don't see any. It's only a matter of time now. This should force some deerto the woods now! We are in the same scenario! I do still have a farm with closetl to 400 acres thats still standing. Its killing me no doubt. the only 1 still standing is mine go figure lol. But they started harvesting it this morning so I'm hoping the finish tommorow.

Had a nice hunt this afternoon. Hunting a wooded Creek line that cuts between 2 standing corn fields with a green soy bean field 150yds to the north and oaks lines the creek to my south. Had a 6pt walk the creek under me and saw another deer walking the corn about 6pyds out just before dark but couldn't identify. Should be a decent wind Wednesday so I left the climber on the tree and will be back in it after class wed. Classes as ll day tomorrow will keep me out unfortunately. if you don't mind me asking where do you hunt 3point? oh no. Lol. Just know you hunt alot of public land and admire you cause you have your deer figured out! That's a hard thing to do on public land. You should be proud.
