There are a lot of deer and there is a very good possibility of taking a nice buck.

They put 85 trillion and said 85 billion. So their math was right on the number they wrote but wrong on the one they said.

The first youth season was a wash out and I believe last year they had bad weather also. This year the weather was much better.

Those are legal shooting hours not in the woods hours. You can be in your stand at any time you choose. You may not have a loaded firearm outside of shooting hours unless it is a handgun and you have a permit for it.

When you first see the sun rise above the horizon and sunset is when the sun sets below the horizon.

1. The first tag would be for two deer, a buck and doe, any weapon. $ 40.00 or You could still buy individual tags for $24.00 if you only hunt one season. This would be an either sex tag.
2. If you hunt in a county that has a bonus quota of 4 or more than you could earn a second buck by harvesting 4 does only to be used in that county.

Wednesday morning we arrived a little later than I would have liked. We also took my dad’s mule most of the back to our spot. The reason being is I like to walk a lot and cover as much ground as possible and my dad doesn’t like to walk too much. We have been turkey hunting for seven seasons and I have never let him bring the mule or four wheeler before because I think it will scare the birds. Last year I just about walked him to death so he said if I ever wanted him to go again we were driving back to our spot. Back to the original story now, we walk out to the end of the ridge and on our way we hear a turkey gobble real close. I know once they fly down they walk around the point and down into the fields so I tell him we need to get there fast. When we get to where we want to be we hear something walking down below us and have no idea what it is so I hurry and set out a decoy and when I stand up turkeys start flying out of the trees about twenty yards from us so I hurry and sit down against some rocks along the top of the hill. After the turkeys hit the ground they start to yelp and cluck so I call a little to see if they might come our way and bring the tom with them. As luck would have they all start heading our way then off to the left a turkey appears and is clucking and yelping. I do a double take and realize it is a tom so I tell my dad to shoot. He slowly raises his gun and BOOM the whole thing is over in less than three minutes. We check our watches and it is 6:40. We grab his gobbler and head home. It weighed in at 22 lbs, 28 mm spurs that were broke off on the ends or they would have been bigger, and a 9.25 inch beard. As hard as we worked trying to get him his first gobbler all those years and this took very little effort at all. I doubt I will ever get him to hunt hard with me ever again but I was super excited for him to get his first bird.

Hello, my name is Jeremy Shireman. I am from Corydon, IN. I am a Math Teacher and football coach at a local high school. I am 26 years old and have been hunting since I was 7 or 8. I killed my first deer when I was 10 and I have been hooked since. I enjoy reading the information on this site and I will participate in the discussion if I have anything useful to say.

Is it legal to shoot a wounded buck if your buck tag is filled?

If you pull into your hunting area and there is a deer next to the driveway. Can you get out and shoot it?
