I hate when people in front of me use those. I am 6'4" and most of that is legs so those stadium seats crowd my leg room.

I would recommend buying the one that is at the top of that page because it has the square corner legs instead of the rounded post legs like the red one, it won't dig into the ground like the post legs. The wife and I have a pair of these that we take to at least 7-9 concerts in the park and we love them. They are extra wide firm seating and they are easy to get up out of. They don't wobble. Ours have a custom cup holder that allows you to set your phone in it so you can see it. They are a bit heavy but the comfort makes up for the extra weight. www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Oversized-Director-Chair-with-Side-Table-for-Outdoor-Adult-Green-Fabric/923443410?athbdg=L1600&from=/searchI believe I got ours at Wal-Mart I believe they are OZARK brand.

Absolutely no turkeys as of yet in my neighborhood, no Morels either.
Did find a nice cluster of these that I will pick in the morning for breakfast.

OK FD, I have a question. I was told that the $$ raised at those DU events goes to the national chapter and doesn't stay local, where the NWTF banquet money stays local. Is that a correct statement? I can't speak for either organization since I am no longer on a committee HOWEVER The KANKAKEE GAME PRESERVE just added an additional 150+/- acres of ground to it's property thanks to a purchase by Ducks Unlimited. DU is constantly doing things all over the USA,CANADA and MEXICO to improve waterfowl and other habitats. I don't know of any NWTF projects in our area.

In 1975 I started a DUCKS UNLIMITED chapter in Laporte with the help of some like minded individuals. The chapter was named Southern Shores since we were the southern shores of lake Michigan. Within 2 years our chapter was so large that we couldn't find a location big enough to host our event. That following year we divided the chapter in 2 and from that day on Michigan City had it's own chapter.
I was a lot of work but it was satisfying.
I have been a continuous member since 1966 when my brother took me to a DU event in Schererville, Indiana.
I still have the Ed Mehok Black Duck duck call with instructional 45 lp record and a DU cigarette lighter I bought that night.

I have read that every year around the season of LENT the WALLEYE make a good run at Culver's fast foods. This is for the folks that not only don't want or know how to catch live WALLEYE but also don't want or know how to cook their own WALLEYE.

Be the only meatloaf you know how to make!
Inspired by Steve Rinella I have been experimenting with meatloaf recipes this winter and here is a game changer I made today.
I used 1 pound of ground deer to 3/4+ pounds of 85% lean ground beef mixed together with 2 eggs and about a 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. I lined the bottom of a greased bread pan with about 1" of the ground meat then I filled the center of the loaf with strips of fire roasted Hungarian peppers, smoked Swiss cheese and Heinz 57 sauce.
I then added the remaining meat and some more peppers to the top with some more Heinz 57 creating a stuffed meatloaf.
Baked for about 50 mins or 160 degrees in 350 degree oven.
I Served this with some garlic oven roasted Broccoli and Cauliflower.

Does a person get the same thrill when they reach into the grocer's cooler and picks up a plastic wrapped piece of fish as a fisherman does when he reaches into the net and pulls up a live and thrashing fish.

I have been asked why parchment paper.
Placing the fillets on parchment paper making sure they are not touching each other or the pan allows them to release easier when your ready to vacuum seal them. I pre-freeze them just enough to stiffen them and it causes the fillets to hold their moisture. Figure how many make a meal for your needs and seal that amount. There is plenty of moisture in the fillets when freezing.
